💰 Grifter "Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

Thanks to Josh’s advice I have multiple guns already and have recently bought a benelli nova 3
Hell yeah, brother. Check out the Benelli m4 or FN SLP if you want nice autoloading options. You can find them cheap on the secondary market, especially the SLPs which are frequently up for auction when police departments clear out their inventory. Just a fantastic autoloading shotgun and fun to shoot.

Edit - if you peruse gun shows or boomer gun boards, you can get a good deal on a Winchester m1897, which can slam fire and you can sometimes find for less than 200 bucks. Same trench shotguns the Marine Corps used to sweep the German army out of Belleau Wood and during the Meuse-Argonne offensive. Tremendous shotgun, absolutely beautiful if you get one with wooden guard and stock, or functional if you get the rubberized police riot model.

Nigga you don't have to watch those two, he does the same thing in other ones probably. Those two are my intro to him and so far favorite ones is why I mentioned them.

You two sound alike.
I kind of take offense to this. The one thing that really annoyed me about Jim is how surface level his commentary is. He'll just point at a picture of someone who's ugly and says "look at the ugly guy he's so ugly" or go on about how small he thinks that one dude's penis is. Unless they're profoundly, breathtakingly ugly like Laura Loomer, I try to think of something else to say.

(obligatory apologism before I get dogpiled by half the forum again) Jim is funny and I remember enjoying a lot of his videos but at the same time it never appealled me how he'd go "Look at tha fuckin X on this dude! It's like a Y! HA! A HA!". That's a not-insignificant portion of his commentary.

but no, just like how God created the light and the dark and divided time into day and night, Jim invented talking about stuff on the Internet and all draw inspiration from him. without his streams we would not know good from evil.

Another great flag for a great city.
Vancouver, Washington, AKA Little Portland.

I'm a little surprised they could only find one brown person to pose with it.

their flag is literally just "we're on the other side of the river and our sales tax is lower"

t. lived in portland for a year lol

through jim i found diddler dax and through dax i found you and the farms so thank you daddy jim for showing me the light

I am so, so sick of jimcels.
Blame the Godwinson orbiters for taking the Jimwalker meme and expanding it to absolutely fucking everything kiwifarms-adjacent.
Laughing at retards? You're just copying Jim.
Commenting on current events? Jim did that, you must have got it from him.
You're speaking English? Jim spoke English, clearly you're imitating him.

Amazon renamed their Starlink competitor (satellite internet) from Kuiper to Leo for some unknown reason, the ad showcases that this is a minority-focused product best enjoyed by those in society most in need of off-the-grid internet service (and cows).

For those unaware, most expect Amazon Kuiper Leo to fail to achieve market success and require being bailed out be the government (dwarfing the Iridium bailouts of the 90s due to the sheer number of satellites). So by 2030 there are decent odds that we'll all be collective owners of this pile of trash.

Some feedback for MATI clips on youtube, in particular the way non-safe words are censored. If the censored part is cut and remaining audio is spliced, it sounds much worse and jarring than if it's replaced with mild static or even a bleep. Not sure how your editor does it, but you could streamline audio replacement in Davinci Resolve (Adobe Premiere is too expensive imo), in Fairlight - prepare two tracks (1-original audio, 2-static looped across the timeline), add compressor effect to track 2 (enable sidechain input with track 1 as source), adjust compressor so whenever track 1 has audio, track 2 is heavily reduced or silent (fast attack, short release), and now you can just start cutting words from track 1 without having to splice/manually replace each instance with static. Fairlight setting can be saved as a preset.
Just muting the words is a much better listening experience than injecting annoying sound effects, the youtube editor should keep doing it as he has been already.

... we're bailing out Amazon?

I always assumed you learned some foundation skills in the early days by observing him. Cadence, avoiding dead air, pacing the material, (ie. broadcast radio basics.) Not his style or affectation, just the fundamentals of doing a show.

Well Leo and Singh both mean lion, saar, so...

so when I started, there were maybe a dozen people all streaming at that time. I had an idea of what I already enjoyed from what I listened to (not fucking about, not stretching out nothingburgers, no sensationalism, not doing daily shows, etc). I dunno it just sounds real fucking insulting when you're like, "wow you talk and make jokes, that's just like metokur". metokur has not been streaming regularly since halfway through COVID which was about a year or two after I started streaming, which is to say most of the time I've done my podcast metokur has not been doing his podcast.

it's just so bewildering how often everything has to be the indirect work of this specific guy. I've referenced listening to hundreds of hours of Jim Sterling and YourMovieSucks and RedLetterMedia and other YouTube hacks and nobody ever says "wow this is just like Jim Sterling", which tbh I do reference YMS and and Sterling and the Plinkett Reviews a lot more directly but nobody ever picks up on that because it's not fucking Metokur.
