I will never understand how it is Barb disintegrated as quickly she did in terms of appearance. When Chris was just a babby, she looked reasonably slim for someone in their forties. Chris is maybe, I dunno, five or six in this picture from the looks of it. It looks like she's in her early sixties almost. What exactly happened to Barb in that time frame?

Years of heavy drinking catching up to her.

If ONLY it were that simple to inspire actual friendships in this adult life after "how people 'learn' about me on the internet". |:( Now I understand the reason for Pep Rallies (I was exempt from attending them, because they were Too Loud for me).
I forgot about that. Thanks! I wonder, then, if they really didn't want him to attend pep rallies (and presumably games) because he freaked out at the noise, or if they kept special ed kids segregated from the normal school population when possible and just told them it was "too loud" for all of them, or if they couldn't trust Chris to behave himself during pep rallies and just told him it was "too loud" for him?

Also I find it interesting that Barb forced her way into that Easter picture. Is it normal for parents to show up in those kind of pictures when kids are that old? I don't ever remember my mom standing next to Santa Claus when I had my picture taken with him.

She looks like she's holding his hand still. Maybe he was being too spazzy to sit on the bunny alone.

I think his autism made it difficult to tune out the noise of the crowd. So I don't think he sperged out. He probably would just cover his ears and look pained until a teacher picked up on it and said he didn't have to attend. Although the image of a young Chris running into a middle of a game, with his ears covered, screaming "NONONONO! STOP IT N'YOW!" is pretty funny.
