Fallout series

Well, what's the best shotgun to use And Stay Back perk?
I remember using Riot Shotgun but the shit spends so much ammo.
The aforementioned Hunting Shotgun will do you just fine if the Riot Shotgun isn't your thing. Just make sure to get both mods for it (the choke reduces spread while the long tube increases ammo capacity).

Sergeant Contreras has between 300 and 500 in his stock. He's the only merchant in the game to stock them in large numbers.

Hopefully you didn't turn him in.
If you did turn him in, then the Great Khan Armorer also stocks hundreds of rounds at a time, just not as much. If your rep with the GKs is positive, she buys and sell at the item's base value (though I can't remember if Contreras does that, too).

Pretty sure you can still trade with him in the jail if you turn him in, unless a bug fix mod changed that or I am just misremembering and spreading misinformation.

Favorite guns? Cant go wrong with All-American and survivors rifle. Good at close/mid range, decent damage, decent fire rate and plenty of ammo. As @Friendly Primarina said, hunting shotgun is GOATED. get the perk that makes enemies fall down when getting shot. Any Deathclew trying to get close will fall on its ass before they can reach you.

As for energy weapons, i always liked Tri-Beam Laser. stack that with any crit bonus you can find and fire at close range, most things will turn to ash in a second.
A Light Shining in the Darkness, I'm a 1911 fanboy and I am not sorry. Alternatively the .357 Magnum and Lucky because I am also a Colt Single Action Army fanboy and I will sometimes do runs where I juggle like 5 of them and Lucky instead of reloading or the Ranger Sequoia just because I don't really care for the scope on the standard hunting revolver. If I want a scoped weapon I'd rather use a rifle instead of a handgun and speaking of rifles that would be a toss up between the Anti-Material Rifle or the Survivalist Rifle. NV just has a lot of fantastic firearms in my opinion.

Waiter! Waiter! More New Vegas cut content please!
heres the direct download links to both prototypes
thanks for pointing this out, havent checked the website in a hot minute
1 is the same day as the final build the other is 1 month and 1 day before the final release. both builds seem to be fully functional, include images and have many changes, heres a small list compiled from the link I have

  • Legal screen uses animated logos instead of static logos in the final release.
  • Many extra props throughout the entire game that were removed for performance reasons.
  • Prospector Saloon sign in Goodsprings is a completely different design to final.
  • None of the robots have any filter in their voice recording, and instead are completely unfiltered.
  • Many characters use text to speech lines, and many lines when repeated for the second time are presented in text to speech.
  • Many lines do not match the subtitle presented, or are alternate takes when compared to final.
  • Mr. House uses an early design on the terminal monitor in the Lucky 38.
  • The Strip and many of the buildings within contain far more NPCs than the final game.
  • Many unused files, all 800+ of Ulysses' lines are present in the game files as well as his textures and models.
  • Many test rooms removed from the final version of the game that can be accessed with the debug console, which is not usually present on the console version of the game.
if you have the most recent version of xenia you can just run the game it seems. the unfiltered robot lines may be useful for a.i training purposes for voice modding.

forgot to also include the mega link posted from the yt video : https://mega.nz/folder/Xt1hFYrQ#VKqVDcJRe8mqlP4VxXuiSw

The Browning Automatic Rifle from Dead Money, the M1911 from Honest Hearts and the M1 Garand from the base game/gunrunners arsenal.

I've always been a sucker for IRL weapons in Fallout, too bad the soydev retards at Bethesda can't ever seem to get a gun right.

The weapons in New Vegas especially the unique ones makes it so appealing over the Bethesda games. Also that Light in Darkness 1911 from Honest Hearts just melts enemies so good.

Favorite guns?
Paciencia and That Gun is my favorite early-mid game loadout. Grab Boone, steal That Gun, buy Paciencia, shoot Cliff in the head with it, steal all the dino toys (mine now nigga), leave for adventure. Later on I usually rock the AMR, Ranger Sequoia, and Hunting Shotgun or Riot Shotgun. The M1 Garand is also great.

Energy weapons is YCS-186 with all the perks and crafted MF cells. Easily one of the best weapons in the game.

New Vegas' weapon selection is so fantastic.

Always been funny to me that people complain that Ulysses just talks and talks and is a whinger, as if that wasn't the point, and the prototype just out and saying it makes it even funnier. It's like these people didn't play KotOR 2 and recognize that Avellone has a type of character he likes to write, and even as a kid, I clocked UIysses as hitting the same notes as Atton Rand.

What, already? The feature thingy said it was recent

Well the mods are based on earlier knowledge of the cut content, so they knew stuff was cut but now we know exactly where. I would not be surprised if these restoration mods all get updates taking into account what this data dump shows to tweak their stuff.

Favorite guns?
call me a nigger but the durability system removes any possibility of me having any attachment to any gun, i usually go with service/marksman rifle because there's plenty of them, especially on the assault at hoover dam.
if durability wasn't a issue i'd be using the tesla beaton.

it's like claptrap to be honest, he is designed to be annoying but it doesn't change the fact that he is annoying.
i mean if you don't want people complaining about retardation, maybe don't expose them to retardation in the first place?

Man, why can't I just have a NEW New Vegas game, I almost went into an existential crisis being reminded this game is 15 years old.
I genuinely hope that this remake rumour going around is legit, crazy times when I'm more looking forward to a remake/remaster than anything new...

Favorite guns?
Medicine stick. Not quite as high damage as the anti-materiel rifle, but way faster and more satisfying. Ammo doesn't weigh a billion zillion pounds per shot either.

Also the silenced .22 pistol is surprisingly very good. I beat the whole game with it, which was pretty fun.

Why not just repair it though?

AER14 prototype rifle with a laser crit build is so damn fun. You can have a crit rate percentage of mid-to-high 90s with, plus a x2 crit damage multiplier means you turn anything in your path to ash with your deadly green death beams. Especially if you use max charge microfusion cells.

The lever-action shotgun is also fun as fuck, wish it had a unique variant
