Does anyone know how old Lee is supposed to be? Because he certainly looks like a 50-year-old desperately trying to stave off aging, and this new surgery only exacerbates the fact.
Anyways, the surgery took longer than expected due to his previous surgeon injecting him with filler. Not a doctor, but this all sounds like it'll have some grievous consequences in the future.

UroMems is working on a remote-controlled artificial urinary sphincter--they're running patient trials as we speak. It's the "again" that gets me. This isn't some hyper paranoid fear (not sure if that would have been better or worse actually but it does make reddits reaction worse). It actually happened.

It sounds like she got nullification done. During nullification for women, they go in and do a total hysterectomy and then a vaginectomy and vulvectomy, so she would not menstruate anymore with the uterus and ovaries gone and then the vagina burned out and then sewn shut. As the vulva is also gone, all that is presumably left of her genitals is her urethral orifice. She is basically a real-life "female eunuch" like the title of that feminist book Germaine Greer wrote in the 1970's.

The only real difference between nullification and phalloplasty is that they try to do flesh origami with skin grafts, the clitoris, and the labia of the vulva to make an approximation of a "penis" and "testicles".
