What's the point of jockeying on modern battlefield? Once a drone spots you better pray that your cope cage holds up and the APS keeps up.

Both sides only share videos of successful strikes. Most drones are either shot down, neutralized by electronic warfare, crash, or fail to destroy their target. They're not a wunderwaffen that makes everything else obsolete.

Well the US is also notorious for using UAVs/Drones in the sandbox with significantly larger explosions from much higher altitudes without being spotted, I'm not sure why people think it's a foreign or novel concept. Drone usage now is just on a much smaller scale that was previously attributed to insurgents.

I dream of the day when godless communists from either side drop tech specs, teardown photos or embedded software dumps from unobtainable western and eastern military kit. The photos from downed Russian drones packed with embargoed western components and hacky solutions have already been great if not a little blurry.


Also, speaking of unobtanium, Valgear dropped a video going over the issues he and others have encountered with their full auto, German made HK416s after some time in the field.
Overall it was an interesting video of some minor gripes and design flaws that only show up after actually using it in combat. German engineering struck again with proprietary handguards, bad maintenance/disassembly ergonomics and L85 tier issues with webbing/gear snagging on the fucking unshielded magazine release. The internals however seem well designed and overbuilt, and a lot of the wear items (brass deflectors, charging handle catch in the upper) were replaceable for longevity
