It also means there's no accountability for saying really terrible things, which can hamper serious discussion.

Anonymity has its place, but it's not an inherently superior form of discussion. Everything's got pros and cons.
People are gonna say some fucked up shit regardless, but i think condemning a mildly valid discussion for post count boosting is a little condescending.

I met some pretty good people here, like exball, Hunger Mythos, wheat pasta, etc.

But this discussion of anonymity vs named forums, bla bla bla can be made in another thread. I go here to laugh at wizardchan's foolishness, not read seven paragraphs about how something is better than the other.

It was getting pretty ugly. RIP Misbun.

However I have found that the discussion of anonymity vs named forums is very relevant to Wizardchan. I'm sure you are vaguely familiar with the anonymous nature of imageboards in general yes? Do you know why Wizardchan thrives in such an environment? Because people want a place to go to where they don't need to worry about their history, their reputation, their ego, their worth. It fits hand in hand with getting thoughts off your chest that would otherwise remain unsaid. Whether that be in relation to personal depression, niche interests, virginity, hobbies, whatever.

It adds a sense of exclusiveness to the site thanks to this. Which is why I think at the basic level WC is also conserving a lot of what imageboard culture has lost. That sense of a tight knit community while still managing to remain anonymous. The CWCki itself also has what I feel to be a strong sense of community which is why I like using it as well. Both sites serve a purpose towards a niche group of people while still having broad discussion.
Is it so foolish that some of us just want another option for an anonymous environment?

Well, I did not say an anonymous environment is a bad thing. I am just saying this discussion can be made in another thread, that's all.

So one of my facebook friends just posted this to his timeline. I wasn't sure if I should throw this in with Love-Shy or Wizardchan, but since he talks a lot about dating, I think it's better here.
Any thoughts?

Edit: Whoops! I meant to put this in the Shy Harder thread. Oh well.

So I went on Wizardchan today because I wanted to check how their Minecraft server was going, and this is the first thread I see on /wiz/:

http://wizardchan.org/wiz/res/49529.html

It finally happened. Some Wizard went on a killing spree.

Wizards spot someone startingly wizardlike putting a video on YouTube. In the video, a 22 year old virgin talks about having his revenge on humanity because the girls are not attracted to him.

And sure enough, he starts to shoot soon after putting up the video on the internet.
This happened 4-5 hours ago.

The video is pretty interesting. I guess loneliness and isolation did finally drive someone stir-crazy. This makes me glad I have at least a single friend in my life.

EDIT: on second thought, I guess I really shouldn't have posted that link in this thread, as it doesn't seem related. Sorry... I thought that maybe he was one of the wizards.

lol "cocks" :tomgirl:

I think this dude was really gay. He ticks all the boxes, hell, hes even a bodybuilder

Bodybuilding does not equal homosexuality. Sure, gay bodybuilders exist, but tell me you wouldn't want a body that makes panties wet and drops them.

Personally, I just don't get bodybuilding. Like, I think its cool that people are really dedicated to being in peak physical condition, but spending hours lifting things up and throwing them back down just seems kinda dumb to me.
