Commonwealth of Virginia v. Austin Curtis Peterson - JA010478-02-00 Assault and Battery on Family Member & GC24002688-00 DRUGS: POSSESS SCH I OR II

Looks like it was continued. I'm not our lord and savior Lolcow Supreme and we miss him everyday but I'd have to guess he's staying in lock up for the holidays.

Austin Curtis Peterson had a bond hearing on December 2, 2025. This is presumed to have occurred after his stint in rehab/mental health facility where he was sent in early November and released back into Central Virginia Regional Jail on November 24. The bond hearing did not go as Austin had planned, and bond was denied, and the case was continued until January 2025. Since this bond was denied, Austin's attorney Bryan Jones has since seen fit to move up the date for his preliminary hearing in District court to confirm the felony drug posession from January 6, 2026 to two weeks on December 18. This hearing will either be to confirm the felony and send it over to circuit court, or for a plea deal.

If this is conferred over to circuit court, Austin will have another opprtunity at bond with that judge.

As of yesterday, someone has paid the 1.5k boss owed on the crack case in Circuit court (CR24000241-00). He still owes money on the fleeing and eluding and violation charge though. Maybe Bryan wanted it paid off because it was due in February?

In an update all of his Domestic court fees which were massively overdue have also been paid. These may have been done in an effort to try to look better when begging for bond.

I don't mean to be a Grinch but what happens EVERY time when he gets out on bond ?

He's never not once complied with his bond conditions and there is a good chance he'll get NEW charges while out on bond (if he gets it).

It sounds bad but the best thing for Bossman is to stay in jail right now.The-Grinch-how-the-grinch-stole-christmas-30805487-976-1500-3321261040.jpg

Austin had court this morning for his Felony Drug Possession. We are currently at the point in the case of the "Probable cause" or "Felony confirmation" hearing. This is where the General District Judge hears the charges and determines if a felony may have occurred, and then sends it to Circuit Court for a grand jury to indict. This often the part of the case that lawyers stall out for time on smaller crimes such as this simple drug posession, in hopes of securing a plea deal from the prosecution to avoid it being a felony.

During this time you can also ask for Bond if you are still in jail, like Austin is.

The results of today's hearing? Case continued until February 3, 2026 . We do not yet know if bond was granted or if he will sit in jail until then. There are two positive polly speculative items for a bond being granted. 1: Austin was transferred for about 3-4 weeks from the jail to an unlisted "facility", likely rehab or mental health. 2: All of his Domestic Court fines and fees have been suddenly paid (they were overdue by about a year), and all of his previous Felony drug possession fines and fees that were past due are also paid off. (this could have been done in order for him to get commissary? some jails take your commissary deposits until all of your fees are paid off)

We likely will not know if he has bond until we see him eating a Big Buford in discord and vinelink updates.

I just got out of court. Here is a brief update on how it went before I go get lunch:

- Bond granted, will be set for 9am tomorrow. $1k PR bond. Where he will be released to rat dad to be driven to the rehab.
- Prosecutor says they are not pursuing a violation at this time.
- Rehab will be a 6-9 inpatient program
- Feb 6th 2026 is only going to be to go over some lab results.

PLOT ARMOR WINS AGAIN DEWD

meant to say brunch. I was mainly in shock how easily he got bond. Prosecution didnt even put up a fight and the goat bryan jones wasnt there, just another attorney from his law firm.

Rat dad was there too and he seemed in a hurry to get out of there. He immediately stood up after the judge finished speaking and got to his car. Didnt get a chance to take a photo of him in time before my phone booted up but heres the rat-mobile

Heres to you austin. Enjoying a good cigar in celebration of the news

I'm not gonna publically send the rehab name because of trolls calling last time he went but it seems strict like last time and its hours away from him farther down south. Hopefully we hear from him tomorrow before he goes.
