I haven't played 76 so I can't speak for it but no, Fallout 4's plot and dialogue were extremely boring and nonsensical but as far as I remember there was no Borderlands esque whacky gross out ass jerky! Fart Gun! Incestuous scat sex with my brother! Humor in it.
76 definitely adds in more humor but its mostly in the public events while the main story is more in line with 3/nv.
Whats up with all the incest in this show?
The jokes are weird but incest/inbreeding does sound like an issue vaults like 31-33 and 13 would face.
Say what you will about the show, but at least they nailed Novac!

The dino being around is still such a weird change because its supposed to be an eye catcher for drivers but now its a photo op you need to pull into to see
Honestly, I don't mind Lucy acting like a retard because while I don't think there are any comparable moments that we see, it fits how surface dwellers see vault dwellers
She seems to be getting less retarded as time goes on and that theme about life adapting to survive gives me hopium.
76 was worth developing for this

sooo if i wanted to play fallout 4 what are the essential mods, and its easy isntalling like new vegas?
i have the steam version without any dlc

Fallout 4's shitty sarcastic options were almost always acted like they were supposed to be bad on purpose imo, so it doesn't make much sense for the entire writing of the show to be shitty like that even for a vault dweller imo

It specifically calls to mind how Piper immediately clocks you as a vault dweller if you take off the jumpsuit because you look retarded and ignorant,
Ironically its the one time people are sorta wrong about you being a vault dweller, considering Nate\Nora only was one consciously for like 10 minutes and fucked off right away, Nate has the deeper fish out of water of being a literal relic from before the war. But I don't remember them doing anything interesting besides the submarine

Yeah, and sadly the submarine could've lead into something truly amazing had they not cut most of the underwater content

my brother just gifted me the fallout 4 season pass. im going to do a unmodded run. i played this game for 60 hours when it released and dont remember a single thing besides the idiotic cientists man son and the nigger who keep pestering me about saving some shit. ill report my findings
Better make sure you thank him. It's not nearly as bad as everyone says.

That being said: Make sure you use load accelerator because the loading times are atrocious. I'd also recommend you downgrade the game to next-gen or pre next-gen if possible. The latest anniversary patch (AE patch 1, haven't played patch 2) removed a song from the radio (The Wanderer) and because they have intern(s) they have working on the update, they royally broke something about the music and radio, music only plays rarely and the radio host never gives news reports now.

You didn't think you were really going to play a Bethesda game without preliminary modding right?

The robot ship in the building is another recall of your background. Same as the entire BOS's recruitment. The Captain of the Prydwen recalls you as a vessel of pre-war, which the BOS is interested.

I've played Fallout 4 for quite a long time and not a single moment in it did I get the weird Marvel vibes the show gives me. Bethesda's writing is clumsy but at least tries to be serious when it wants to be. Alot of their game's silliness comes from an NPC glitching out, an enemy spawn being nearby, or some random encounters not making much sense. Even something intentionally silly like Nuka World I can kinda see working in a dark ironic way, if Bethesda had deeper writing chops.

The TV show's humor is so terrible by comparison. The first real quest of the game has you save Preston Garvey at the museum from an army of raiders and while the situation is fairly convenient, the characters at least act as if a deadly situation is occuring. If this was the TV show, the Sole Survivor would be like:

"Hey, you raiders! Stop attacking Preston Garvey, alright? Attacking is rude and bad and we should all work together since this is the apocalypse, right?"
-Raiders stare blankly then draw their guns-
"Oh shit!!"

Bethesda's writing is highly retarded, but the Fallout TV show is on a whole other level, to the point it makes me think that either the writers are window licking morons, or they are the most based people on the planet, showing that consumers will literally clap for anything as long as it has BrandName(tm) attached to it.

The scrap anything mod so you can get rid of the junk Bethesda didn't think you would wanna get rid of.
