I have seen some "Why I left the left" type videos in my feed sometimes (fucking YouTube and it's shitty algorithm, sending me videos of lefty shit) I doubt it would become big enough to become a thing because #bothsidesism is annoying and inherently boot licking cringe so you satisfying no one.

Plus people like ShortfatOtaku are also really gay and inconsistent with their Ideas so it won't get that extreme of a following as the far-right or Breadtube because those guys want radical change.

Given how much of her comments section is dominated with posts she's liked that are just going "Yeah, Lovecraft was actually a bad writer and worse, he was a RACIST!" I get the feeling she's been deleting the negative ones and just happened to miss a few. A man who never met with much success in life, died in poverty in his 40s, and whose work would have been forgotten if not for the many, many friends and colleagues he'd made and would come to inspire even after his death keeping it all alive across the decades.

They're kicking at a weak man who still left a mark on the world despite his own hangups. Someone most of them could learn a lot from.
 
Lovecraft had more friends than these breadtube fuckers, inspired and helped tons of people to achieve greatness and has an entire genre named after him.

The way these people act, you'd think Lovecraft was going around lynching people left and right, which is the kind of thing I expect when you go around saying "Lovecraft was akshually super racist even for his time period!" The "Lovecraft was a bad writer" claim is also complete bullshit. You could get away with claiming that when a lot of his work was available in editions based on badly edited magazine copies and August Derleth was still publishing stories he claimed were by Lovecraft, but 99% written by Derleth (and Derleth was really bad at horror writing), but not when actual correct version are easily available.

For me, it's the fact that they never feel the need to go out of their way to say that other authors of the time were pretty racist themselves. You never hear them go "Oh, you like Agatha Christie? Don't you know that her story was originally called Ten Little Niggers instead of And Then There Were None?" They have no understanding that even the most forward thinking person of the time would still hold ideals that they'd curl their lips at.
