And besides that, you don't just have talent, and that's it, you're world famous and get everything handed to you. No. It is a lot of hard work. Funny how nobody would apply that to an olympic athlete. For some reason, with those athletes, we don't think of them as just walking into their gold-winning performances. I mean, is there an ice skater or a swimmer or a skier who we just imagine was so naturally good that they didn't have to put in hours and hours of time every single day? Give them their fucking due. If he put 1/10th of the time they put into being those athletes into something like his piano playing, he'd have a real skill.

Yes. He's done this goody goody act before. Something will trigger him (it's usually Taylor Swift in the headlines) causing him to come unglued again. He's incapable of being lucid and being a productive member of society. Working really hard to appear "normal" exhausts him and he'll revert back to who he really is eventually. He'll come back with "I don't care what people think. I have to be honest because so-and-so hurt me" yada yada yada. Russhole has done this 4 times since I started following him.

Always check his posts for edits guys. Seems a member of his family has intervened to spur this 'change of attitude'. Russ however has changed his original post to suggest this change in mindset has come from within himself as a result of some self reflection. As such we're not seeing any real change here, simply Russ giving in to some pressure from his family to appear less fucking weird and draw less negative attention to them.

Perhaps this was part of a big intervention staged by his family and friends, as we see him also posting about a friend trying to advise him and warn him of the consequence of all the negative publicity and Internet posts made about him. Russ however dismisses this as being conducted on weird, hard to reach sites that you would have to look hard to find, completely failing to understand how Google works (which is strange as that appears to be where he obtains most of his legal 'knowledge') and the fact you only need to type in his name to see the results appears with sites such as this in the first couple of pages.

But normal service will resume shortly. Especially when you consider the fact that his goals and ambitions won't have changed, he'll still want to become famous and have a beautiful, celebrity girlfriend. But as we all know this isn't going to happen as one, he doesn't have the required talents to become legitimately famous for any positive endeavour such as song writing. Second, no woman is literally going to touch him, unless she's paid to do so and even then he's massively burned his bridges in terms of being able to do that legally, which means he now must resort to breaking the law or going without.

Hence it'll be a very short while until we see him rage post again about how he has been ignored, blocked and/or discriminated against by both people who he has approached to try to impress them with his 'talents' in order to achieve his fame and beautiful woman who have turned his aggressive, over the top advances down.

A leopard can't change its spots. Or more accurately, this dwarf can't change his zombie face.

As others have noted, Russ typically has these come to Jesus moments every few months and then rapidly deteriorates almost immediately after. I have no evidence of this but I believe it's his adopted siblings, namely his sister, who bring him back to reality every now and then before something ultimately triggers him again. It's a never ending cycle.

Btw, this website - which he calls obscure - may in fact be obscure. I never heard of it until ... in my Russing, I was googling his name one day and this thread is literally the #1 Google result for "Russell Greer"

So Russell is like Timon minus the charisma of Nathan Lane, and someone in his family is like Pumbaa who still allows Russell to walk all over them and steal their thoughts for himself.

I get why it is the family's intervening (though it probably does stem back to "no empty chairs in heaven" even if they say otherwise), but it's too little, too late in this case and they should leave him be. Russ can think for himself, so unless they were threatening to take him out of their will or something like that, he's not going to change his mind until something terrible (yet karmic) happens to him to make him reflect on what he's done. But even then, that's still a big "if" since he comes off as a stubborn jackass most of the time--so much so that I don't see him acting any different in the hereafter.

I think at this point his family has gone from trying to save him from himself to trying to save their name from him. The Mormon community is pretty tight knit; no doubt they all know about Russ' exploits and issues and it reflects poorly on his family.

He's probably not far off from being disowned which is sad -- one family got rid of him for his shitty face and another may for his shitty personality.

His poor siblings do seem to try their hardest to fix Russ. He posts fondly of his sister from time to time but the only time he mentions his brother is when he's arguing with him re: Russ being the biggest Trumpkin on planet earth and his brother being a Never Trump-er.

Probably resents his brother for having a real girlfriend and secretly lusts after his sister.

I kinda agree, but I think this does depend on the ward the family goes to. The wards are tight-knit, yes, but I've heard Utah Mormons are very cliquish compared to everywhere else, and at least where I'm from, I don't know of any wards shunning or looking down on people for that kind of thing. I've known people with immediate family members who leave the church and/or do very un-Mormon things, but the family itself only stops going to church when they feel too guilty and/or ashamed for something they're doing, or over something that's honestly out of their control, such as a family member choosing to walk away.

What Russell does on his own accord reflects only himself, and it's terrible to think he may be dragging his family through the mud as well. Is it the parents' fault for nurturing him to who he is today? Who's to say, but they don't have anything to do with what Russ has been doing now, since he's an adult making his own decisions. I feel for his siblings for trying to reach out to him and bring him back because I'm sure they do still love him, but that's not going to last. At some point, Russ is going to be all by himself, and that will be all on him.

He's going through the classic stalker cycle. Right now he's willing to "forgive" his victim (Taylor Swift) for the crime of not bowing to his whims. But once something negative happens in his life, and he'll fall back on suing rich female celebrities. It's basically his safety blanket. No matter what happens to him, he can always sue and get millions, but he won't cause he's a Nice Guy.
