True, true... And he hasn't gone out of his way to decry the church (...kind of?) and try to go out of his way to destroy it or lead people astray, I'll give him that. But I do have to wonder how much of the doctrine he really and truly believes in anymore if he was so upset over being told by his bishop that he may never marry in this life. His faith wasn't that strong to begin with when all he was thinking about was girls and being "discriminated" against practically every waking minute, and going to a strip club on his mission (that he wasn't worthy to serve) was sacrilege of him to do. It'd be really surprising if he wasn't sent home for that because it meant no one found out or confessed to it to their mission leaders.
I honestly do wonder exactly what his family ward thinks of him, particularly the Scout leaders. His bishop I'll assume has no ill thoughts toward him and will be there to meet with him if he ever decides to repent, but everyone else might be a slightly different story.
