I feel Talk To Staff is a bit too stuffy for some people feeling comfortable asking small or simple questions to moderators, and I also believe there could be some more levity between staff and users.

Try to avoid using this to interrogate about moderation decisions, like "Why was I banned?" since that's something that genuinely should be handled in Talk To Staff. Threads posted there will be treated with more urgency and seriousness. Generally.

Use this thread to ask us questions, serious or not, and we'll answer them accordingly to whimsy.

How often do you have all hands meetings with null? What kind of teambuilding exercises does he make you do? How do you feel about his commitment to diversity and inclusion?

Maybe I'll ask this in the talk to staff portion so null can confirm. Thanks for the response.
This thread is not canon, you should have started there.

Well, given he fired @AnOminous who was once a black man (I think he got better), idk, seems like Null's not very inclusive. We do have several women and a Jew, so maybe that sorta evens it out. Actually, wait, didn't Null once claim to have some tiny amount of Jew blood in him? That'd be two Jews then.

Actually I quit. I was having a tism fit and he told me I couldn't be a mod while simultaneously shitposting in politics threads to derail them and then I threw an even bigger tard rage and quit. You don't get the Retired Staff badge if nool takes your broom and beats you with it like the nigger you are.

I have calmed down and am now almost entirely white again.

I am getting the image that the more you politisperg or use A&N, the less White and more Brown you are is the consensus.

Are YOU a woman?

I just found out I'm retarded but I scored 97% on the real world scale.

Much you I'm not stupid and fuck @Null for setting up these profiles to make it seem like I'm weird

Okay

My question is

Do you like retard? And how do you feel about the world's ever changing definitions of words? Peace peas pees pee.

By God, how do I properly quote a post onto someone's profile so that it links back to it as it would within a thread? This must be obvious as hell, but no combination of buttons seems to lead me to the answer.

I don't know if there's an easy way, but when in doubt, click the button that looks like [ ] in the top right of the message edit window. That will toggle between rendering bbcode and not (e.g. italicized text is actually between [i][/i] tags), and by toggling to not render I can see that your quote is actually created using the tags:
Code:
[QUOTE="Meursault's gun, post: 23538515, member: 86425"]<quote text>[/QUOTE]
Then you can paste that into your profile message (you don't have to have bbcode rendering off to explicitly write in bbcode, it'll still render). I don't think you can link to profile posts using the quote feature because they're stored and enumerated differently, although you can at least link to them. It's easy to see the link for top level ones, clicking the date on the post links you to that post, and for lower level ones you can see the post id by hovering over the report button and looking at the id in the url; I don't know if there's an easier method nvm, that didn't work as I expected...I do think you can link to profile post replies, but I forget how.

One other thing, profile posts are actually pretty limited in how many characters you can have, so that's a good reason not to do quotes in them.

That's what I was looking for, thank you. Goofed up thinking it'd be more straightforward than that.
