More Nothingburger news.

The parties have filed a joint stipulation for the case against Denims to be STAYED until the Subpoena case with the Reddit jannies is resolved.
I expect the court to go along with this, there is no reason why not.

See attachment for the filing.
Best of luck for ethan getting the name reveal for reddit lawsuit.

Interesting. I partially would have expected Ethan to try to push discovery against harder. A deposition on the books prior to the subpoena resolution could be great to get Denims under oath making certain statements that could later turn out false through discovery with the Snark Mods. Then a follow-up deposition to cover the content of any relevant discovery obtained through the subpoena to press Denims further. But it's all litigation strategy and does depend on the facts-on-the-ground.

I could see this cutting two ways: (1) they think the subpoena dispute will resolve quickly, so they just agree to a stay because it doesn't make sense to get started too quickly on anything or (2) they think the subpoena dispute will take a long time to resolve, and getting too far into motions practice under the Court's deadlines in the Denims case doesn't make sense.

Back in October I said I didn't expect much movement until summer (this wasn't directly on the subpoena, but regardless)
The real question is how long we have to wait for the judge to rule on this motion. I suspect many many months -- seems like a next summer thing. Rough as it is.

I think I stand by that. Back when I litigated, I used to monitor the "Six-Month Lists" for the judges I was before (a report published by the federal judiciary's administrative office watching judges to see how long they take to rule on motions). Looks like the administrative office has been slacking and missed their September 2025 report, but regardless it is pressure on judges to try to be timely. Once we know the magistrate, we can get a sense for how backlogged they are and when we can expect a ruling.

We know from the Subpoena case that he got discovery from her already, among which was a supposed reddit mod promoting the market replacement community watch parties, scheduled for the launch of the Countdown Episode and the Nuke.

More discovery might have already happened, but I'd say he already got what he needed from both Denim in discovery and Kaceytron settling to make a strong showing in the Subpoena case that his copyright claim has merit, based on which the Motion to Quash should be denied and the subpoena granted.

I specifically meant a deposition. I feel like we would know generally if Ethan finally deposed Denims. And I'm sad we will have to wait longer (assuming it hasn't happened) due to the stay.

There's no real reason not to grant it promptly.

The reddic docs would be really useful to have BEFORE deposing Denims.

We would have seen notices of it on PACER.

Especially as they can try and cross reference things between Denims' communications

It's NDCal. Nothing happens promptly.

Take a first dep ASAP, with Denims saying stupid shit on the record early, then a second dep based on new (previously unobtainable) discovery. It's not that complicated.

Depositions are always expensive. Even for a MegaJew like Ethan, the burn rate for incredibly aggressive discovery is rough.

It's not that expensive. Let's not be melodramatic. Maybe $6,000 depending on his lawyer's rates and some extra on the top for the recording. Really nothing for lex jewthor.

You seriously think he's that rich, that he can just burn mountains of money like the Joker for a point? He wouln't even be a Jew if he couldn't nickel and dime you to death instead of being the one spewing money himself.

I'm an order of magnitude less rich than him and would happily spend the money to depose my clearly-in-the-wrong worst enemy.

He's got a, what, $9 million home in Bel Air? Dude has plenty of cash to burn.

Then you lack the intelligence of a Jewish Sue-Jitsu master. You don't win by spending a dollar to make them spend a time. You win by spending a penny to make them spend a dollar.

blah blah lazy analysis we couldn't all catch the wind behind our sails for early youtube clearing seven figures a year.

I am not someone who sues my enemies! Ethan is already down the path of burning dollars for his own satisfaction -- why wouldn't he here? A deposition, or ten, is nothing to Ethan. Pretending otherwise because normal humans aren't as rich as him is silly.

Because he wants bang for his buck. He doesn't want to waste money. He wants to make the OTHER clown waste money. Jews will turn on a dime and then pick it up. How do you not understand this?

Ethan isn't motivated by greed here, he's motivated by spite. He has an autistic fixation on his enemies and will spend a fortune to bankrupt and destroy them.
He wants to unmask the jannies and affect their lives in the real world. He wants to make brands and platforms think twice before making deals with known plagiarists. It's a rich man's spite-fuelled obsession. I'm here for it, people have bankrupted themselves over less. I have no dog in this fight, so let them tear themselves apart, it's all grist for the mill.

In this case, DEFENDING the dep is likely more expensive than executing it. Ethan's lawyers know the underlying facts here inside and out, they don't need to learn it all just for the dep. They could probably spend three billable hours coming up with their dep outline and make it incredible.

Meanwhile Denims lawyers probably have been told to do limited-to-no investigation of the facts, and prepping Denims would be a nightmare.

If you're measuring everything on a return-on-bux metric because he's jewish, a deposition here is greatly in his favor! You end up with two scenarios: (1) Denims saves money by not paying lawyers and is not prepared at all, says a lot of stupidly false things, and gets her ass handed to her or (2) Denims spends a chunk of money being prepped by lawyers who, at best, limit the stupid things she says to just those that don't harm her more than she already is (and her status quo case isn't great to begin with!).

prepping Denims
I really hope we get to the deposition tapes of her soullessly staring into the camera and her lawyer's 7 levels of despair as she explains into the surprised camera how using other people's content as filler is normal business practice and not copyright infringement.

He also gets to make content about it. Perhaps he wouldn't do so himself, but anyone who gets the video of the deposition could recover a lot of the costs by streaming it or making videos from it. If viewed from a lens of spending for purposes of garnering public sentiment towards him, there aren't too many better ways than putting someone like Denims in a hot seat and watching her unravel. She's stupid enough to lie about something that is easily disprovable and that will hurt her case as well as destroy her public image.

Even if he's not so rich that he can light cigars with $100 bills, Ethen has more money than his opponents. There's no reason for him not to drain their resources and make them feel the financial pain that much faster.

I believe the legal standard in the US is that you cannot discharge court judgements in a bankruptcy if the judgement results from something done maliciously.

So Ethan will likely know that he can keep collecting his lawyer cost from Denims for their rest of her existence.
And I hope he does so, because she is the most insufferable cunt of the Hasan orbiters.

So all the costs that pile on now, Ethan can collect from Denim's revenue from showing her asshole on OF.
