I feel Talk To Staff is a bit too stuffy for some people feeling comfortable asking small or simple questions to moderators, and I also believe there could be some more levity between staff and users.

Try to avoid using this to interrogate about moderation decisions, like "Why was I banned?" since that's something that genuinely should be handled in Talk To Staff. Threads posted there will be treated with more urgency and seriousness. Generally.

Use this thread to ask us questions, serious or not, and we'll answer them accordingly to whimsy.

Shh, don't tell the mods that it's still XenForo.
SneedForo is probably due right after the conclusion of the Greer v Moon case.

is there ever going to be an option to hide referrals on your profile or is that not something that can be done

We're not kept abreast of any forum system changes unless they're major. You'll need to request it yourself.

Mods can see dms, right?
If one of you sees bank account details a farmer left in their dms, is it fair game to steal from them?
We cannot see any private messages unless we are invited. If I remember correctly, not even Null can see them unless he digs through the databases and finds them manually, which is so much of a headache that he has never actually done so, I believe.

In any case, I think stealing an individual's bank information would be illegal.

Why was the poll option on Q&A threads removed if it ever existed in the first place?
They're mutually exclusive options. A thread cannot have the Q&A function and a poll at the same time. Since Q&A is for Q&A, the option is disabled.

hello can i be a mod
I suppose it's possible for anyone.

When I see an obvious sock should I report it or ignore it
If they're not causing problems then you leave them alone. I can't say if everyone abides by this perspective, but I'm of the belief if they're being helpful then there's no harm in them socking. As long as they're not some rapist or anything.

What came first, the chicken or the egg?
You eat them both, so who cares? A better question is don't you think it's odd eggs are some unfinished chicken monstrosity yet we put them into stuff like cakes?
