Most furry drama manages to stay within the confines of the fandom, and websites that talk about or document furry drama. Whenever furry related drama was on news channels, it was almost always related to a run in with the law such as when furries would be arrested for having sex with their pets, or incidents that took place at a furry related event such as the MFF gas attack. Normally these bits of drama would pass over as furries kept reassuring people in the comment sections of news sites that “these aren’t all furries”.
This all changed, thanks to the actions and twitter posts of one furry who not only kicked off a giant political war in the furry fandom, but who even managed to get a furry convention cancelled. Meet Deo Vacuus (Powerword: Jenna Nicole Kinyon), who goes by the twitter handle @DeoTasDevil. Deo is a 25 year old communist antifa furry who lives in Idaho, working as a metal worker. According to her Wikifur page, she calls her house a “furry commune” and according to her Furaffinity lives with two others.
She made a name for herself for managing to get a furry convention cancelled, and judging by her Twitter header and bio it’s clear this is her big accomplishment in the fandom. She also is proud to let you know that she is a feminist, a communist, supports Black Lives Matter, and her Twitter icon is very fitting considering what she posts on Twitter.

Nazi Punching (or how to cancel a con)
After Richard Spencer was punched by a masked antifa protestor during an interview, plenty of leftists celebrated this on Twitter, with people adding “nazi puncher” to their Twitter bio and bragging about wanting to punch Nazis. Left wing furries on the other hand celebrated this in the typical furry manner, by getting commissions of their fursona punching Nazis. One such person was Deo, who spent money on her power fantasy, having her fursona punching out obviously-not-Foxler:

However, this picture would not bring her the most controversy and followers. Instead, it was a single tweet she made in January of 2017, threatening to punch Nazis. A now deleted twitter account from a member of furry raiders responded, and that’s when the shitstorm started:

Deo then took to Twitter to accuse Furry Raiders of wanting to shoot up the con in response to his punching threats.

A few months passed, and then in around April of 2017, that’s when the drama really reared it’s head, and when Deo went from obscurity to infamous just like that. Rocky Mountain Fur Con was cancelled, with much of the blame going towards the Furry Raiders, a controversial group with ties to Nazi Furries.
Around that same time, Dogpatch Press, Deo, and others dug up plenty of info on RMFC and the people behind it, and as it turns out they made some questionable choices. Much of this drama is documented in these threads.

However, Deo is no better than the furry raiders, and as it turns out Deo’s escalation of violence on Twitter was one of the main causes for the con being cancelled. After being reported to the police by con staff, Denver Police determined that the threats of violence were credible, and the hotel demanded strong security including a force of off duty police officers. The cost? $22,000,which was too much for RMFC.

It was then decided to cancel the convention, and thanks to this Deo was empowered via Twitter. Before this, Deo was just another furry who blended in with the crowd on Furaffinity. However after this, Deo was finally no longer obscure, and not because of anything she contributed but because of how she managed to get a convention shut down. Thankfully for her, one of the staff members of RMFC made a massive mistake, and sent her a poorly written legal letter banning her from the con with sovereign citizen level language.

Suddenly, Deo was in the limelight, and the press was on her side. Due to fact that RMFC’s staff was a comedy of errors and the fact that there were Nazi Furries involved, this meant that the copy/paste press was mostly ignoring her role in all of this. Articles written about the event either conveniently left out Deo’s involvement in this, tacked it on at the bottom of an article in an update, or spun it around to potray Deo as a victim who did nothing wrong. Articles even came out from sites like Rolling Stone asking if furries had a Nazi problem.
This also meant that luckily for her, she’d be getting hate messages, hate messages she could later screencap and repost to gain victim points on her social media platform of choice: Twitter.
Deo’s Tweets
Deo has a lot in common with a lot of left leaning social justice types documented here on Kiwi Farms. Deo’s Twitter image is of a brave warrior fighting all the Nazis in the fandom out to get her, however despite this she is relatively block happy. She’d rather block “Nazis” than try to win them over to her cause.

Despite this, she gets angry when someone gives her a taste of her own medicine.

As you’d expect, she does talk about the usual left wing topics. She’s retweeted Bernie Sanders, numerous left wing tweets about how bad Trump is, and the like. She’s also retweeted related furry content and drama whenever it passes her way.

However, she has a case of USI, and one that is fueled by her newlyfound reputation after managing to get a furcon cancelled. She has a lot of detractors, and she pretty much wants them gone. Usually she’ll take a Sarah Nyberg approach and screencap any negative comment that goes her way (often with whining), but sometimes she’ll go a step further. Case in point, she’s not laughing at Furred Reich's discord server, she’s trying to blackball and dox everybody in their discord server, along with pleading to Discord admins to get it taken down:
Meanwhile, the Alt-Furry discord isn’t scared at all.

She’s worried about sockpuppets, and wants to find out who they are:
Trolls and Nazis:
People who mock her communism:

(Context for some of the screencapped replies in that post: This tweet that got her riled up)

While she has no problem with commissioning her fursona punching lookalikes of people she does not like, she seems to have a massive problem with people printing out her Twitter profile icon and shooting it during lasertag, and this resulted in a giant meltdown.
Interestingly Deo has been in contact with our very own @Field Marshal Crappenberg (thread here), who was responsible for adding content to the Furry Raiders/Nazi Furs/Alt-Furry threads.
