The Internet is absolutely terrifying with its ability to make crazy people seem more prominent than they actually are, trannies are about 1% of the population in America and yet they're everywhere online since they spend every waking hour there. Same goes for lolicons, and when you spend more and more time in this echochamber, you start to think that people in the real world actually think this way, it's pretty scary.

You're spot on with this. Lolicons are a small group of people who talk really fucking loud and seem bigger than they are. I think part of why lolicons and trannies are so vocal is because they exist in a really pathetic state of insecurity and victimhood. The best thing you can do about the problem is to just keep saying the truth. The parents of potential victims will hear, and they can make sure their kids are safe. Legislators and law enforcement will hear, they can continue to make more laws criminalizing lolicon and AI generated CSAM. No amount of retarded crying emojis or "cute and funny" comments will change the fact that lolicons are hated by any normal person who learns about them.

You'd be right. The Japanese are a "polite society" in that they're very private. You don't ask about personal stuff except for very close people and even then in odd circumstances. So, nobody really talks about it and it's limited to otaku circles who are already weirdos. When it's a problem (meaning public nuisance) it is shunned quietly, but to outcasts like these it's not really an issue.
