I was thinking the same thing. I can’t help but wonder if, after being caught up with that group for over a year, he’s developed some kind of attachment to them. He considers some of those people his friends, even though they don’t seem to have his best interests at heart. It’s honestly a sad situation for Bill that people like that came into his life.
