I have always heard that older White peoples were racist, but I’ve never seen first hand evidence of that. If anything, chances are they’re more passive in regards to that social topic. I feel like that stereotype is a holdover from 20 years ago when the old white people were greatest and silent generation. It's mostly kept alive by how some modern old white people (boomers) are more willing to make a racist joke and their tendency to be naive/stereotypical about race in some ways, but even a lot of old Republicans are still the "we are all one people, peace and love" type.
