No. Payroll is a small piece of overhead for most factories. A factory’s electricity bill can sometimes be more than payroll. You can cross cancel that against the cost of trans pacific shipping.

China stretches to just undercut us on prices, and they subsidize industries to do it. Half of their factories don’t make money and the government pays them to make shit to undercut us

This is shown by several years of falling ppi, producer price index. Ppi measures the prices factories charge wholesale

AMC Director of Operations has cancelled all flight evaluations and qualifications for every single Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard, and Air Force active duty crews indefinitely.

The letter signed by Brigadier General Derek Salmi was directed to the entire Air Mobility Command force, and goes into effect immediately.

All air crews are being pushed into service to facilitate urgent and contingency transportation efforts.

Translation:

Anyone able bodied but missing qualifications is now approved for flights regardless of standing or outstanding evaluations or certifications needed. Anyone can fly.

Has not happened since 2003.

He never stated the 10 % would be added to other tarrffis, either way this does not apply to the vast amount of countries he put tarrffis on in the April Oranging.

If we are in such an existential crisis with China, then tariffs don’t matter. We ought to embargo all trade from China, suspend all visa for Chinese nationals, and strip all assets they own in the US.

Congress can vote to allow the President authority to launch economic warfare against China. The President chose to claim that the IEEPA granted him unlimited authority to tariff. The Supreme Court reviewed the law and found no authority in that text. If the President wants to get that authority, he has to get Congress to vote on that. Until then, he can continue to use the tariff powers he has and other greater trade powers to fight China.

It's not gonna be the dems, it's going to be businesses making lawsuits for pay. It'll fall to the Supreme Court which, despite this ruling, is still primarily republican-appointed. I have no idea if there is an actual legal basis for the refunds.
