If you see someone like Braden IRL, you have the right idea: don't give them attention and avoid them. It's the best way to keep attention whores from taking over.
Braden may be playing a character, but acting retarded still has the consequences as being retarded. It's setting himself up for failure. Braden may have planned on getting attention, but he seems to have a hard time handling negative attention and others when he can't just ignore them. He's asking for attention while being underprepared all the consequences that go with his internet fame. If he wasn't doing such negative stuff, he likely would have less backlash and be able to handle himself better, but sadly his brain is stuck on having to do dumb shit then defend his choices with his fragile ego. He's asking for attention and he's only partially loving it. It's sad, but it is his choice and he keeps hustling to get that attention.
Giving him attention on a niche internet forum while he's already in the public eye isn't that bad. Most of our lolcows never really go beyond their internet bubble, and don't get popular. Braden actively worked for his fame. His rise and possible fall isn't due to the attention we give him, fortunately. So am I the only one who's ever considered the possibility that this guy is faking being an incel for the clout? I haven't seen any documented evidence of him getting plastic surgery on his face, I even remember seeing an old picture of him floating around the Internet and his face literally looked exactly the same as it does today with the only difference being that he had acne. Seeing echos of Elliot in this tread and the looksmaxx movement is interesting for me having lived through the shooting news coverage. Elliot was too delusional to evolve beyond doing anything except seething about his problems. Dude was a skinny twink until the end and didn't even bother to get jacked and start lifting even though he posted in bodybuilding.com. Begrudgingly, to Clav's credit, looksmaxxing is better than straight up incel. I remember wondering even in 2014 why Elliot never bothered to hop on steroids or invest in plastic surgery to change his looks if he was obsessed with them and getting a girl so badly. His detriment was his acidic personality, but my point is, incels until the era of looksmaxxing, would always mope and wallow in self pity yet never do anything about their looks or body to improve themselves. But this is what I don't understand both Clavicular and Elliot Rodger were always good-looking men and in Rodger's case specifically his failure with the opposite sex probably had more to do with white women not being interested in him because he's visibly Asian. It wasn't that he was a bad-looking guy, it was just that the girls he wanted were not interested in dating outside of their race. But he was still young and if he hadn't gone on his murder-suicide spree, I'm sure he'd have eventually found a white girl who was interested in him, since like I said he just had strong Asian features but was not necessarily ugly.

PUAHate was 'pickup artist hate' which is exactly what you describing: Average looking guys, 'pickup artists' who could rizz up a woman, get relationships and dates because they had an appealing personality or faked it.
