Anyone who remembers what 8chan was like during it's original 8chan.co era (2013 to early 2015) is a real nigga. 8/v/ and 8/pol/ were both superior to the 4chan equivalents and allowed for so much more freedom. Obvious shill threads actually got deleted when they were reported and BBC spam was nowhere to be found. You also could make He will not divide us threads without faggot mods deleting them like they did on 4chan. Oh and also you could attach multiple images and video clips to posts.
I saw full-on CP there. Most of it wasn't on /b/ or /pol/, but there was definitely plenty of it, and not just the "child modeling" variety they had on /b/. It got to the point that it wasn't safe to visit any boards but the legacy ones because you never knew what fresh horror you would get from clicking into a user-generated new board.
I avoided many of the smaller less moderated boards so that's likely why I never saw it. I stuck to 8/v/, 8/pol/ and a couple others. Managed to not ever see it. Maybe I'm lucky.
