I would imagine Tuesday is specifically due to War Powers Resolution act.


Trump has 48 hours to inform Congress in writing of Military action. This sets off a timer for a slew of procedures with different congressional committees, which ultimately leads to a congressional vote 60 days later. If he was to attack Saturday night, then he could inform Congress Monday night which leads to them up and ready Tuesday to start challenging it. (Yes the whole world will already know but I doubt they will be able to start acting without Trump officially informing them). In general though, Democrats aren't going to be able to stop this for 60 days. THEN Trump can say he really needs to bomb more Iranians and get another 30 days no approval. (something I never knew you could tack on until recently). The wording for the additional 30 days is a vague "Unavoidable Military Necessity" Which this administration will definitely push to do.

DOW is down 500 points today because of fears of this. I mean he has to attack them, its not looking good for the economy though.

Thats another reason I think this will be a one and done thing. I don't think Trump wants to risk tanking the economy over Iran.

DOW is down today because of a worse than expected inflation report, Layoffs, and a major UK mortgage firm collapsing (when businesses like this collapse overseas it raises worry that there will be knock on effects or similar collapses here causing the markets to pull back)
