I'm worried that US/Israel interference will do more harm than good for the protesters, it's very easy to now spin what is wholeheartedly a grassroots movement into something that was planted by foreign governments. I would not be surprised if Iranian media now has more propaganda ammunition because of it.

Who the fuck cares if it's planted or not, what's important is whether it functions in a way that's beneficial to its citizens and parties that put them there, meaning in a sane fashion.

The logic was the US had no significant military presence in the region, and there was no organized leadership of the protests to work with. The Shah is a popular figure but has no connections to run the country, currently.

A month later the US has positioned a lot of strike packages and US glowies have contact with Iranian opposition.The protests are also still going on.

People see shit like Iraq 03 and desert storm where the US mogs an opponent in weeks and forget both are the result of the US spending months building forces and logistics.
