I have a theory that in nearly all Western genre fiction of today only the villains reflect the society and its mindset. They are the characters that the writers come up with when they think "what a real person, someone in which existence I can believe, not some cardboard hero, would actually do, if given power?"
Trump, his cocksuckers, and some of his critics as well are among the main reasons why I have coined this theory.
Trump is basically a sinkhole of evil, who lies about everything, sells out his own aides and voter base at the drop of a hat, blames his failures on others, and thinks that the point of negotiations is making the other side drop their guard so that he could assassinate or abduct them (yesterday was fifth fucking time he did or attempted this). He's clearly too imbecilic to realize that this would eventually create a determined opposition that believes they have nothing to lose by fighting. Especially because he's also a bully, who scapegoats subordinates to get fire off himself when someone pushes back. Trump just started a war that promises to be long, difficult, costly and bloody on the basis of believing his own bullshit - or pretending to, because Netanyahu, another old monster, who is willing to slaughter and torture any number of people to stay in power for one day longer, has tapes of him snuffing underage girls. (At this point it is obvious that the general US public is willing to quietly overlook mere rape of underage girls, so that raises the question: what sort of horrors must be in the blackmail files that Israel clearly has on Trump?). He fired personnel who try to warn him that his actions might in fact result in a war, and a war, even assuming it needs to be waged, should not be undertaken without adequate preparations, such as amassing sufficient force and making sure that your forward bases are adequately protected (the current concentration of forces in the Gulf is nowhere near 1991, which was a limited-scope operation against a comparatively weaker and thoroughly isolated enemy). And he must have been aware that his Israeli masters have a vested interest of escalating the war as much as possible, now that US is firmly on the hook, so this time they will start deliberately slaughtering civilians from day one to make sure that Iran cannot back off. Basically, just from this story alone, never mind his domestic stunts, he looks like a more senile and dumb (he, or whomever runs his social media account, cannot even articulate his thoughts anymore) version of corrupt incompetents from the warning stories of imperial downfall.
And not only he still has a fanclub, even in this thread some peoples seem to think that maybe this level of thuggery would be fine, if Trump was less, you know, retarded about it. Fuck this gay world.
