This is why Trump getting a second term was always going to be a fucking bad thing. In his first term he had to be somewhat careful, now that he can't legally run for re-election and is on the verge of literally melting to death, he has no reason to give a fuck.

This was always Trump's plan, by the way. He would've executed this back in 2020 or 2021 had the pandemic and losing to Biden not cucked him out of it. It feels like Trump just wants to check off every "box" of the Presidency to fill his bucketlist, and he just needs to start and command a forever war to get a full bingo.

Assassinating Suleimani was supposed to be the inflection point where tensions were meant to grow into an all-out war like we're seeing today. Maybe the fear of missing out on starting this war was one of the many reasons for Trump's unyielding hatred of Joe Biden.

It's a shame that the next Democratic president is going to have their re-election campaign burdened by the shitty economy and forever war Trump is going to drop in their lap, after the GOP goes through 4 years of collective memory loss and starts blaming them for what Trump started.

Far longer than that if you believe anything about the bible is any way historical. I mean, humans have always been violent and tribal, but the Middle East in particular seems to never mostly grown out of the behavior of settling or starting disputes at sword point like the majority of the world’s governments (at least on paper). As far as I know, even though sub-Saharan Africa is a shit show, it’s still less messy than the ME.

If you put aside the bible and other religious texts, the archaeological evidence proves that the Middle East has always been a bunch of inbred tribesmen fighting over sand since before Babylon. Even though they have (mostly) traded out their swords for old Russian AKs and left-behind American arms, it's the same bullshit as it was centuries ago. History officially starts with the sand niggers starting civilization and then immediately starting wars and slavery. That region hasn't been peaceful since the literal dawn of civilization. The middle east is the birthplace of a lot of things, civilization, history, medicine, but most importantly, the longest, most barbaric war in all of human history. Starting 10,000 years ago in Sumer and still going on to this day with not one singular year of peace throughout the entire region.
