I'm not even so sure that Dobson is that aware of doing this. I think it's almost more like Doublethink, where Dobson genuinely wants to be a "good boy", so he submits to the SJW bullshit, going "This is what good people believe in, right?" and parrots the lines without truly understanding them - bascially holding the believes without holding them and being semi-unconcious of this situation. From time to time, he tries to apply their logic himself and fails miserably, just to hop on to the bandwaggon later on (like how he likes something and suddenly it's "problematic").
He's obviously doing this for the attention, asspats, but also for the validation. I think it can't be overstated how important validation is to Dobby. His identity as a cartoonist, his political stance, even the choice of gaming hardware all boils down to an addiction of being validated.
Maybe I am reading too much into it, but Dobson, ever the loner, wants people to admire and validate him cause he has absolutely no confidence.
Skimming through his artwork, this is the only example that I could find:
Bad artists are really fond of almost exclusively using the so called "Three Quarter View", so, obviously, Dobson is using it as a crutch a lot, too.
On a sidenote: Check out that blob of a right hand, check out how the bear holds the pencil. Jesus.
