Hermeto Pascoal is a genius and should be known to the world.
However in this country, well off parents promote their prodigies to be the next Mozart...He is legally blind but came from a modest family in the country-side of Brazilian. Because their country at this time, valued culture and talent, over money they promoted this genius. He taught himself how to play 13 instruments as a virtuoso of all of them...he is also creative and experimental.. I have upvotes all over his videos...four upvotes on this video...because I have been praising him for years...four years of ranting or more..All this country is about is payola and well off people pay for their prodigies to be known as geniuses or other people who are impressed with prodigies, not geniuses....I wish I could find this unusual video of his...Like I said, not all his music excites me, but enough of it moves me to the point where I promote him..Our country is really going downhill culturally. That is because money talks...and the values of people in this country is about money and fame..I think women should be known as geniuses if they really are geniuses and not just prodigies...
You can tell by even looking at him, that he is not ordinary..not just the wild hair...Brazil has been known for jazz ...The composer of Mission Impossible that young kids do covers of...all Brazilian...Our culture is really going nowhere ...I no longer speak my mind on prodiges videos...because it is a waste of time, and most Americans are so impressed with prodigies that our country is going down the tubes on a cultural level....It has to do with the power structure. Money talks...that is about it...In Brazil they promoted him because money was not the only thing that they value...

No Zoo on this album is wonderful and he has a very good video of No Zoo and Music with Frog...Amazing...!!!!
Also Bebe is awesome and numbers of others..Montreux and some that I have forgotten the names of...He is what genius is....
he has a special quality ..even his voice is lovely to listen to....amazing..

Are there any artists from the '90s or 2000s you are into? I agree with you that music has been overcommercialized in recent years. Is there anyone you think is carrying on with the cool, anti-authoritarian vibes I pick up from the music you post from the '60s and '70s?

I wondered if you'd ever heard this song. This singer's voice isn't really soaring or incredible in a technical way, but I think her affect and the general tone of the song are interesting, with a good dash of humor and wit. Let me know if you like it! If not, sorry, sometimes it's hard to predict what people will like online...

I enjoyed that Hermeto Pascoal album. I forgot that he performed on a Miles Davis album. That was my favorite era of his. I've heard Asa Branca performed by other artists, this is a good version too. Right now I'm listening to his 1979 concert at Montreaux, it's really good. I like the keyboard solo he does about 16 minutes into it. Thank you for the recommendation.

People often say, "There's plenty of good music still being made, you just have to look for it." That's true, but you have to sift through a lot of mediocrity to get there, and it can become wearying. That's the double-edged sword of the Internet - it's so easy for anyone to put music out now, which is good in a way, but there's something to be said about having producers who worked with musicians to bring out the best in their work. It's a great feeling when you finally strike gold.

It's not an easy thing to understand why some musicians achieve more success than others. There are a lot of factors - hard work, lucky timing, personal issues. Sometimes they seem to be on their way to the top, then they pull back, perhaps because that level of success traps them into the "entertainment machine" which takes them away from the reasons they started in the first place. Sometimes they get trapped in terrible contracts with labels, or their managers rip them off. And sometimes they just prefer to leave the music industry and have private lives, which can be a success in its own way.

I have called numbers of numbers to get help with the issue of cyber stalking.

I dated a lawyer who now works for the United Nations...

He was appointed to a position by one of the presidents of the country.

I have other friends who have been lawyers..I am not impressed that you say you are an Attorney.

They told me to document what is going on. I am not afraid of lawyers because I had a good boyfriend who now works for the United Nations...who is an attorney in Washington D. C....

I also have had numbers of friends who are Lawyers..I am not afraid or impressed...

Ms. Virgo if you would like some help backing up videos, as you can see I'm quite the accomplished archivist. I can show you how to set up some easy-to-use programs that can back up your entire youtube channel. I'm just getting back into the house after a long night out listening to bluegrass so if you change your mind about not wanting to talk about how we can work out a deal, please just let me know.
 
I am very good with the computer. I know how to back up my files..I just need the software and I do no thae the extra money right now to get the software..to download them to HD...
I am very knowledgeable of the computers..I am a audio engineer. I work with computers constantly. I also did my website and taught myself html...

I would like to just look at my videos for myself ...I use to perform a lot in public...and I could make money on the streets in NYC...and sell my CDs...LIVE not online anymore...

I do not want to come back online...I am thinking of not coming back at all under a new name and new titles...

I sang in public at 13 years old and was a paid professional and made a lot of money after that in person...I could definitely sing in public and sell my music LIVE in the real world in NYC...rather than come on the net to deal with this...

It is not a healthy medium to share music or a safe medium.

I really do not feel comfortable and I may just have my music available to New Yorkers....

I sang in churches, live concerts ..weddings..I could do this again and make money from it...

LIVE not on the net...there are eight million people here....
Being and online musician is not normal, healthy or sane...

I was rarely facing abuse in public in liver performances...

This online presense is not healthy where people PAY for fame...and numbers show up under your performance...it is faceless..nameless..no sound of applause...

I want to go back and not be online at all...

Become more outdoorsy..

I do not enjoy the internet...

I am a very natural person...this does not appeal to me...

I enjoy audiences..clapping...

I think that I should take myself off the net and just do live performances..under a different name...

and sell my cds live...

It is a horrible place..
