You could, but I haven't tried that since I'm not a huge strawberry ice cream fan. Also might depend on how good your brand is - some brands have a weird texture, imo. If that's all you have, it might be worth a shot.

If you're committing to the rose black tea, you can get rose water to try and preserve the flavor of the rose. I'll have to try it myself next time I mess around with the tea. Be aware that rose essence is way more concentrated than rose water.
Yeah I thought it was a bad idea as soon as I wrote it down, lol. Don’t they usually have chunks of strawberries in them too? Would be gross. Also I don’t want to get diabe-teas

We should still have strawberry milkshakes in stores, I remember buying one a few years back. Should work a bit better.

I’ll be on the lookout for rose teas, thank you for your tips!

Any advice for cold-brewing green tea? I can't seem to find the right timing, it either ends up too weak or too bitter.
I love bottled Ito En or Tea's Tea but I don't want to spend all that extra money when I have perfectly good leaves and water at home.

Can anybody recommend a good loose leaf black tea, please? Preferably one that sells by the pound.

This is the black loose leaf I like to keep on hand. (I like that company's greens even better but I have a massive stock of green tea inherited from my grandma that I'm working through so I haven't ordered more in years). Other black teas I've had lately are from Harney & Sons or Taylor's of Harrogate.

Love a good matcha, I bought a small set with a bowl, bamboo whisk and sieve for making it. Its fun reading up how seriously the Japanese take it, making it a whole ceremony whilst I sit there in my garage drinking it from a Winnie the Pooh cup.

Bora Bora blend is a delicious fruit tea with hibiscus in it. It tastes like a summer fruits flavoured yoghurt, complete with a hint of vanilla, I love the stuff.

You know what's one of the best fruit teas out there for me personally? Blueberry. I think that fruit flavor is something many fruit tea lovers can enjoy.
Blueberry roibos is a great flavour combo

Had tried popcorn tea where the waiter kept rambling on each specific tea they had to sell, guess I rather enjoy somewhat bitter Green Tea than sweet stuff.

I kept the other parts of the tradition but fuck that bamboo whisk shit. I just use my electric whisk that I have for frothing milk.

My favorite fruit flavor for tea is peach. But it can overwhelm any other flavor the tea has, so I think it's a flavor best for strong assam-heavy teas.

Really I just fell for the "it  has to be this special type of item" shtick and got scammed 10 bucks for it. At least it looks nice.

Never been too picky about black teas, my regular buy says its a blend of loose leaf west African teas but I like it. Not sure I've tried Assam before.

I can't even imagine a popcorn tea. Jesus would not have wanted a popcorn tea.

If you've had Irish breakfast tea, that's generally VERY heavy in assam. It's a very high caffeine tea, too, almost at the level of coffee. It's the basis of many a "builder's tea," that is, a high caffeine energy booster full of milk and sugar.

This shouldn't be a daily thing unless you actually are a builder or work outside in the cold all the time. It's a great day starter if you actually are starting a day in the cold, though.

Do you mean tea with popped corn in it, or is this another name for genmaicha, which sometimes has popped rice grains? I like genmaicha since it tastes toasty and isn't usually too expensive.

Can't remember specifics besides it supposedly being a tea for "beginners" (did let someone else pick it), would need to circle around that spot someday.

Found an Assam, nice stuff, I like it with enough milk to make it the same colour as He-Man.

Teabagcels will never know the pride of watching one of these bad boys slowly turn bronze with staining over repeated use.

I fucking hate these things, they drop shit everywhere. They're barely one step above those useless novelty silicone tea holders. Baskets all the way.

I find that they hold the tea leaves less well after washing them in the dishwasher. Ever since I got new ones I only hand wash them and I find they retain the leaves a lot better.

There's a Korean roasted corn tea that I was a huge fan of when I lived there. You can find big bags of the roasted corn online or at most good Asian markets.

My workplace regularly gives us bags of Assam TGFOP as to keep us shift workers from sleeping on the job. It's pretty good, although funnily enough it took me several decades to finally make ends meet as to why I can almost never get any proper sleep when I'm drinking mugs of black tea all day long. Gotten into the habit of drinking either chamomile or nettle tea towards the evening - good stuff.

I'd also recommend trying out caraway seed tea to anyone who hasn't tried it before. They used to give it to us here back in school: tastes great with or without sugar and is dirt cheap to brew.

My personal favorite tool for brewing loose tea is just a regular old tea strainer. Makes it much easier to throw the contents out later compared to the clamp style one in your post.

Was travelling last week and had the deeply unpleasant reminder that, unlike my local one, most coffee shops default to sweet matcha unless you ask them for unsweetened specifically. It just tastes like over sugary milk, what the fuck? Is this how coffee drinkers feel about Starbucks?
