10 minutes between replies now… war must really be drying up
We're at that grinding attrition stage in a conflict where it's just a waiting game until Iran loses enough launchers that they can no longer meaningfully fight back. Were it not for the Strait blockage affecting oil prices, most people would likely have already forgotten this was even happening.

'invoking article 5' isn't like pushing a magic button that automatically makes the entire alliance declare war and mobilize for a full scale assault against iran. such a response would likely only happen in case of serious aggression (invasion) against a nato member by an outside force.
in this case, the most relevant part of nato (america) is already at war with iran anyway, a handful of missiles being lobbed at turkey won't lead to any further action than what is already happening. all these random missile spergouts will do is cause further diplomatic breakdown between iran and the countries it strikes. maybe turkey itself will react by carrying out retaliatory strikes against iran, but overall these missile attacks by iran are a fart in the wind that does not warrant any large scale military response by the alliance, which would also be kind of pointless because america is already obliterating irans military capabilities anyway, further nato involvement wouldn't make any difference here.
Anyone who uses the term "invoke Article 5" unironically has never actually read it. Invoking Article 5 means they're going to have another meeting to discuss things. That's it. It doesn't commit anyone to anything.

I have a question that maybe an osintfag here can explain. I've heard it said that Iran has many missile launchy silo spots in the east which haven't been brought online yet and which haven't been struck yet. Is this so, and why haven't they begun using them if their operational capacity has been so degraded thus far? Also I knew this shit wasn't gonna be over in a day but it is making me more nervous with time that we may not have a concise plan to land this plane if the muzzies don't consneed. Theres a lot of glibness about people's reservations here which is understandable with how obnoxious and dishonest the global brownoid cope alliance is, but for real Im getting concerned. I didn't want this war to happen but I want us to win unambiguously here now that it's happening. There were kurds, now there's no kurds but maybe there's kurds, and Azerbaijan is puffing up its chest, but they seem to be a machine designed only to aggress against serj tankian. It certainly doesn't look like the irgc is going to have any friends but China and brown liars after all this, but they could theoretically become a very ugly civil war torn siege nation after this if there's no capitulation from the revolution or focused ground action before Trump gets bored. If this becomes a protracted Shiite Waco, it will absolutely fuck things up domestically and we will be put into re-education camps by genderquestionable jacobins. I just want some hopium. Can someone please assure me that it'll just be two more weeks to stop the spread?

There was no imminent threat.
This is the problem. You motherfuckers keep trying to square reality with the current administration's STATED reasons for war.

No, there was no imminent threat. But there was some threat over time.... and Trump et al. decided "screw it let's wipe these pieces off the board for good." Yes, they lied. No, most of us don't care because Iran has sucked a big bag of donkey dicks for longer than I've even been alive. Fuck 'em, and fuck anyone who supports them.

american economic zone political activist Will Stancil proposed a political solution to the Iran war (thread).

He's also encouraging his followers to engage in a gasoline panic psyop.

If anything, I'd think Article 4 and nothing would happen. I think Poland did that (or considered it) when a couple Russian drones hit their territory.

There is no way Iran doesnt come out of this buck broken. Whether or not the Ayatollahs maintain power, their shit flinging at the gulf states and the horizon straight is giving the USA the perfect excuse to seize the critical islands that control access and also coincidentally also control Iran's oil exports. The Iranian economy was in a tail spin even before this went down

Now they have no economy at all effectively, no allies, nothing but enemies all around them, no navy, no air force, and given enough time their only army will be a bunch of deranged derkas with AK-47s. That may be enough to cling onto power, but it wont be good for anything else.

Threadtax:
Ted Postol, a boomer professor from the MIT is making the rounds on youtube giving presentations on Irans technical capabilities and the effectiveness of interceptors. His thoughts on the engineering side is interesting. Take the rest of what he says with a grain of salt
Take everything he says with a gigantic grain of salt.

His opinions are 30+ years out of date.

MES update: He's been released but won't be posting anymore.
Ahahahha I guess the Secret police said STFU or else.... Fucking shameless grifter getting real life consequences is so great to see.
This guy has been seething since the early nineties and is a great exemplar of the 'Perfect being the enemy of the good'. He also is a physicist with some nukee training, but speaks out of his depths on technology
I'm actually surprised he didn't kill himself the moment he saw Israel perform a successful space interception of a IRBM warhead.

He ASSURED everyone that was LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE for decades (meanwhile in the real world the USAF was hitting warhead simulators in space in the late 1970s lol)

That is an option. If it were at all economical I have to believe they would've already done that at some point in the past 80 years.
It is less profitable than the Strait, but entirely feasible. Once product gets moving again and we move past the aftermath of the stoppage, things will return to normal.

I sincerely hope this is the case. Brownoids and wignat anti-zog "resistance" ball washers like thomas777 have severely underestimated the decrepitude and malice in the Iranian state. I've known even traditionalist muslim Persians who seem quite content to be living in a "materialist Jewish playground" as opposed to the demented 7th century larp fair the ayatollah has kept up. The people are running out of water, the economy is dead and there's no excusing it. Sanctions can only do so much damage. Persia should be a rich and vibrant place, no matter the ruling party or ideology, but the irvc would rather play wily coyote games with the jews than do the bare minimum for their civilization. They sit at one of the most important straits in the world for God's sake. They couldn't put their fuck around games to rest for a decade and bide their time for a future conflict? It's pathetic that 90million people are living like mid century warsaw when they have so much to profit by. Ideals and religious war are no excuse. No sage worth his robes in the history of mankind would find the revolutionary regime acceptable if these are its fruits. Jewish subversion didnt miss spend all of the capital in Iran on fucking bunkers and speedboats. What were the kikes gonna do? Invade them? Put pork in the koobideh? Madness. People hate the jews so fucking bad they'd put their hand in a blender just to make Larry David grimace.

Bro, gallium nitride is used for blue LEDs and consumer switching power supplies these days. It's not some magic ingredient in phased array radars that is required to make them work, it's just part of the power supply of those solid state phased array radar systems. Even if somehow they were to run out of GaN all of a sudden, they could just continue to make them with slightly lower efficiency and frequency using oldschool Si transistors. It sucks for the taxpayers that some expensive equipment got blown up, but it's not like that shit was unobtanium or somehow irreplacable.
Also GaN capacitors in USB charger bricks that don't get as hot. Those are nice.

Kanarab telegram:

Iran: So far, more than 12 hours after the announcement of the selection of Mojtaba Khamenei for the position of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, there has been no statement from Mojtaba, not even a written quote, and certainly no public appearance. [@SuleimanMas](https://t.me/SuleimanMas) reported a few days ago that Israel estimates he is seriously injured. It should be recalled that Zahra Haddad-Adel, Mojtaba's wife, was killed in the attack on Khamenei's office during the opening strike of the war.
