IIRC imam Ali's own proto-shia dudes were getting salty and butthurt he didn't let them enslave rape and plunder all the proto-sunnis after beating them in battle.

During the Crusades, Salahdin was like the exception to the rule being one of the few muslim leaders pragmatic enough to realize that "enslaving and raping all the infidel women and children if they surrender just incentivizes the infidels not to surrender."

You think some Iranian battery would have stuck their neck out by now to at least try and get a radar lock on a ship right now, at least to cause a chilling effect if nothing else.

It makes sense Why Trump tried so hard to get American Companies to start investing in enemy grounds, he probably thought he could increase production in the short term to prepare for this. Venezuela in its current state is nothing more than a speedbump for oil prices.

Yes, that's the allegation and it would be a neat capability for the US (or Israel) to have, I'm asking if there's a proper description of how they arrived at that conclusion which optimally includes the raw data they analyzed.

Over the past week, the IDF has deepened the damage to infrastructure belonging to the Internal Security and Basij forces across Iran, which constitute part of the regime’s armed forces.

One of the central provinces in which the majority of regime infrastructure was degraded is the Ilam Province, where the forces have carried out many terror attacks and brutally repressed internal protests during demonstrations that took place across Iran in the December–January period.

The IDF can now reveal that most of the key assets of the regime’s Internal Security Forces and Basij units in the province were dismantled, including:

* The main headquarters of the regime’s Internal Security Forces
* The headquarters of the regime’s central intelligence body (the Ministry of Intelligence)
* A command center of the IRGC responsible for the battalions that suppress protests.
* A headquarters of the special forces unit within the Internal Security Forces
* Several Basij unit headquarters and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps infrastructure used to reinforce the regime’s control and governance in the province.

The damage to the regime’s repression and control mechanisms in Ilam Province is one example of many.

These armed forces form part of the Iranian regime’s security apparatus and have for years been responsible for executing terror activities.

At the same time, these forces lead the regime’s primary repression efforts against internal protests, particularly in recent periods, using severe violence, mass arrests, and force against civilian demonstrators.

The completed strikes are part of the ongoing phase of further degrading the core operational structures of the Iranian terror regime and degrading its capabilities.

Technically, no, given German access to the Baltic, but basically, yeah. The USA had started to sanction Germany even before we joined in, and U-boats can't exactly escort surface vessels, especially against these things called airplanes. Germany's access to non-European trade was a big fat zero during the war.

A $200 Hackrf can basically do the same thing but with a much shorter range: spoofing a false GPS signal that can be picked up by GPS receivers and cause them to report just about anything. I assume billion-dollar vessels have more sophisticated positioning systems for themselves. I think the argument being made is that the public is being deceived not any of the military players.

Yes, that's why I'm suspicious, my hypothesis is that the js frontend jeets running the twitter account don't understand the data their backend gets or how it handles transponders turning off and on (and possible interpolation).
