Without even watching the video I can guess the dumb nugget Uber driver was in on it. In what world would an Uber driver hear "yeah drive to this dudes house and collect the money. No we aren't going with you. This is all above board." Old dude should be walking free, fuck the Justice system for protecting scum.
I think it was just a "package" as far as she was concerned, which normally could also be drugs or something like that anyway so she doesn't ask questions, it's better not to know. I imagine the last thing she expected was unknowingly being an accessory to robbery. Her biggest mistake was sticking around so long and not noping the fuck out after waiting a couple minutes, never mind a half hour. Then going inside the guys house. Big mistakes everywhere from him and her, though that's always very easy for me to say whilst sitting there analysing it on the shitter.
I am a bit inclined to agree with you both; it's possible that she was completely innocent, but with how things are these days? She very well could of been an accomplice to the attempted scam, though how much she knew is admittedly in question. It is weird that she stuck around for so long at the guy's house; the fact that the scammers described her and her car certainly suggests that there's more to the plot as well.
The blackest shit going. Charged for murder because he was manipulated and had his life threatened. A true america moment, can have guns to defend yourself but when someone explicitly says they are going to kill you and then someone that any reasonable person would know is associated with those threats turns up you can't do anything until they shoot you first.
Can't disagree with this, really. Yes, it's very much tragic that this woman lost her life (maybe; we don't know if she was truly in on the scam or just a bystander), but the fault for all of this is on the scammers... and it's unlikely that the cops are going to bother to find them.
From what I can tell, I think the argument for Brock's arrest was that he was the one that escalated the situation/shot a defenseless woman after verifying she was unarmed, which... yeah, he kinda did, but what was he supposed to do? He's an old man, getting death and rape threats from unknown assailants, then the woman they perfectly described comes driving up and tries to enter his house? What was he supposed to do; talk/hold the younger woman at gunpoint until the cops arrive?
What's worse is that there's plenty of people trying to state that Brock was 100% in the wrong. Personally, I think the old guy was thrown under the bus to appease the local black population; they didn't want to risk another Fentanyl Floyd. BLM is still around...
