I started my current job in October and half of my team, including my manager, are Indian women and it has made this job a living, breathing hell. They never bothered training me on anything or doing anything resembling onboarding, but got legitimately offended whenever I asked clarifying questions or looked over learning material sent to me from other people. My manager in particular made zero effort in seriously trying and wanting to help me out, instead turning every single assignment and taking every single opportunity to be a complete ingrate who berates every single thing I do.

In one particular incident I was tasked with doing an analytical task which took some trial and error but I eventually figured out something to present to my manager, who then downplayed all of my work on top of having told me that she told the other Indian woman, who is more tenured and experienced than I am, did the same task but quicker. On Friday she told me that I'm getting PIP'd soon, which is a long, bureaucratic offramp for firing me. The caste system irreparably fucks the way they interact with other people and on top of izzat being a thing, these people shouldn't be anywhere near any managerial position.

I'm genuinely considering calling ICE on my manager. I'm not sure of her citizenship status (she apparently owns multiple properties and got married to another Indian guy recently, whose status I am uncertain of) but if the news is anything to go off of, citizenship status never stopped ICE from shooting people. More like Renee Gupta, am I right?
