Colin Baker fans always bring up that scene in "Deadly Assassin" where the Chancellor is strapped into a brainwave machine. He dies before he can reveal the plan and the Tom Baker goes, “Never a straight answer, typical politician.” That’s also the point where church ladies started writing angry letters.

Tom can say some dark shit and it sounds hysterical. I could try to rationalize it by saying the Fourth Doctor is tired of characters like K-9 refusing to explain the plot. But really, it’s just charisma.

Later the BBC decided the show was too violent and they blamed Colin.

BBC: The problem is the guy dressed like a Magic Eye poster.

Seth MacFarlane on the Spiner/Frakes show.

/edit: Orville season 4 is written, but who knows when it'll happen. I hope soon, after Quality Learing Center I'd want a palate cleanser.

feel like that was what the whole 32nd Century thing in Discovery and Academy was meant to be, divorcing it from the main timeline, but it did more damage than it fixed.
No those shows are what they meant to be, and it's not Star Trek. Star Trek is a format, not an aesthetic, not a brand name, etc. Which is why that shit doesn't work as intended. It literally isn't what it says on the tin.

Also if I see one more person use the the word 'timeline' when they mean 'time period' then all hell is going to break loose! And I mean it this time!

I think you're aggrandizing it. TOS was WW2 vets watching themselves reflected in morality plays about gunboat diplomacy. 90s Trek was corporate offices in space for the enlightened centrist space UN, making speeches and altering the fate of millions by standing at a terminal and operating a computer. After ENT comes woke madness and jangling keys in front of toddlers.

The 19th Century is a time period. The 19th Century but the South won the war is a separate line of events in time.

Star Trek: Learing Academy is over. I didn't watch it and am waiting for Disparu's review so have Will Robinson from Lost in Space explain Minbari religious beliefs to Grima Wormtongue:

I have never met a single human being who liked Dr. Who who wasn't a total loser with terrible taste in all things. All of you need to take a hard look at yourselves.

Someone in Starfleet once dated an Irish redhead. Then they discovered an entire planet of them and he decided his legacy would be to unleash them on the Federation.

Who doesn't like redheads?

I don't know much about the Bible but that episode is very compelling. They basically did a factory reset on Ted Bundy.

Brother Edward is like “hold on, this doesn’t count.” From his perspective this is bullshit, he didn't even repent. If he died without remembering his past, he'd be damned.

This episode could only work with Brad Dourif. He does look like he’s constantly remembering something horrible he did in a past life.

I had no idea that Lennier’s actor was in Lost In Space, this is like the time I learned that Deadwood’s Wu was in DS9 as the baseball guy.

Hehe, watching Twilight, the ep where Archer gets the Memento Disease. And it's like, the whole time I'm just sitting there, waiting for the reveal that it's a dream, or time travel undoes everything. It's like, I've watched too much Trek to know that there's gonna be a point where they reset everything and get back to the status quo. All I didn't know was how.

"The microbes can be erased in time." lol there it is.
And of course like every one of these alternate timeline episodes, everybody dies seconds before fixing the issue.

At least T'Pol with long hair and a ponytail looked smashing.
