However I think surrogacy can be a wonderful thing when done for a friend or a relative who can't carry their own child for some reason, being compensated for any financial losses is just decent. I do agree that when it's used by rich people to have the labour of pregnancy be done for them it is evil, for both surrogate and child.

Not really. At best the man would be cucking his wife, worst is getting a random sperm donor from a sperm bank. At either point it'd be better just to adopt.

Do we have a horrors of surrogacy thread? Because we really need one. Here's one story I came across recently. Tranny and his husband use Mexican surrogacy agency to get a child. They used the husband's sperm and an egg donor to create male embryos for transfer. The baby is born a girl, and it turns out she was from the surrogate and her husband, not the transferred embryo. They don't state it outright, but it sounds like nobody truly wants this poor baby girl.
