McDonalds - I'm Lovin' It

Lucky you, I wish I had one of them outdoor deals too! I think they lost their focus once they moved indoors
 
I go to Burger King for the burgers, and Mcdonalds for the fries. I mostly just get chicken nuggets when I go to BK.

The closest McDonalds to me was demolished and rebuilt recently and what a change that brought it. It went from looking like McDonalds did in the late 90s to looking like a hipster's apartment, which has incredibly made the eating experience there even worse than before.

There used to be a McDonald's near me that was one of the first locations in the area back when they were the outdoor eateries in the 60's, then in the 70's they rebuilt it, but due to the need for a drive-thru, the kitchen area wasn't oriented in the right spot, so they ended up using a conveyor belt that lined up the ceiling through the lobby area to get the food over to the drive-up window section! It was fun watching the bags go by! Then sometime in the 90's they closed it up and moved down the street closer to a major intersection, now it's one of those rectangular deals.

About 45 minutes away, there's a McDickholes that still acts like a 50's diner. Up to and including half of a Chevy Bel Air in hot pink standing proudly in the backdrop. I almost never go there now given that's a ways up, but when I lived there it was a common stop.

The only things I ever get at McDonald's anymore are the fries and a drink. I've never particularly cared for their burgers but personally I think their fries are amazing. I used to think BK had better burgers and okay fries, but they steadily went downhill and completely ruined their fries and burgers.

I don't stop in often anyways because this is the southwest and In-N-Out Burger is fucking awesome (with Freddy's Steakburgers as a close second), but when I'm on the road out of the southwest, sometimes there just are no other options.

If they don't, you'll basically never see me there unless I am traveling in the north or west and it is my only sweet tea approximation. But sweet tea outside of South Carolina/Mississippi Delta is usually barely fucking passable. But that's a separate discussion about my culture treating sweet tea the way China treats regular tea.

Even here they put too much sugar sometimes. You gotta cut it with half a cup of unsweetened tea.

I like the bacon egg and cheese bagels, though given my work hours I rarely can get it. And every six to eight months I feel like getting the chicken nuggets.
 
I usually get the dollar sausage biscuit now that they serve breakfast everyday. I like it though I'm not picky nor do I have high standards.

Bacon and bagels just don't strike me as going together.
