The MC seems to be a college student, yeah, kind of disappointing if you ask me, since the first half of the demo gives the impression he is a grown ass adult, but considering the shit James is dealing with, hopefully the game's plot will be more compelling than yet another "Man, i wish i had a date for prom" kind of story.

ETA: I played through the demo of Ashfall. I'll admit I'm hooked, the art has taken a serious step up and I'm digging the intro to this story hard. I really hope Caveman can land the hat trick because this is looking like it will be so far.

we had a little tard argument about how you kept going on and on being assmad that Fang went trad in an ending that wasnt even entirely positive or definitive. If thats enough to be "jackhammered" when the mere existance of E4 spells it out to you that it isnt even close to the best outcome possible then wow, you're just assmad lmao.
 
I finally got a chance to enjoy the demo.

I think this one easily has the potential to be the best so far. Snoot and Wani always seemed to be in a tug of war between people debating which one they like more, I personally can't really place one over the other. But I'm loving what I've seen and the writing is just as sharp and characteristic as always. It was a hell of a hook.
 
I tried the demo and its good, I'm really looking forward to see how the full product will be but I wonder how the racism will factor in.

Other Snoot-likes have shown the Anon template can still has plenty of juice left in the right hands. I'm particularly fond of Newa Count from Hold Onto Mi, even if he's more or less Anon in a lot of ways. He's the only one that's real thuggish and his name actually sounds kind of plausible.

Still, not a big surprise Cavemanon decided to move on from it since there is an upper limit on the puns.

Same, I thought it was going to be some "Anon calls Trish a  nigger trigger" bit at first, but it seems like what James feels about saurians is closer to an actual phobia

I was mostly going off the trailer for this game, the whole quick church scene did raise an eyebrow for me. That was mostly it, I know they didnt shove any religious garbage in Wani, but with this story essentially being E2 type stuff and the devs being religious wankers (specially the lead being Mormon), lets just say being cautious about it. So ye, for all I know I can be entirely wrong and I'll admit it.

It's a great take on the racism angle and not one that you see too often in fantasy works despite it being a very interesting concept.
