I'm going into my second year of law school. That's not how a typical hypo works.

Although, if for some reason, the professor decides to write a exam while suffering from a concussion (or concussion-like symptoms) and includes a hypo like yours, they shouldn't be teaching.

Yet, if your hypo requires an answer: "CWCVille law is not good law."

Source: Just had like 30 finals with 1000 hypos.

Not sure how American law school works, but here the usual end question of a hypo is "Advise your client" or "Comment on all possible legal issues". There's usually at least one lowball question on a hypo, usually on something you only covered in passing, where the answer is "This person is wrong, this is why he's wrong, advise him to stop being wrong". Because in practise, what other people tell you about the law isn't always going to be correct.

I don't think that type of questioning is typical here.

They probably don't bother teaching us that way because, in practice, lawyers are just glorified googlers. Lexis, Westlaw, etc. 90% of the time you don't even want to be in court any way.
