Rowling Derangement Syndrome - "TERF/Woke Author Bad!!1"

In 2025, the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom ruled that the word “woman” in a Scottish equality law from 2010 refers only to people who were born female. The case had been brought by For Women Scotland, an organization partly funded by Rowling.
In case this confuses anyone, this bit is wrong. The Equality Act is a piece of UK-wide legislation, which the Scottish government has to obey.

I agree it is cringe (though way less cringe in context) but seething TRAs who don’t even understand you can want sensible troon reform without being a literal fascist are also embarassing.

A genderfluid asexual cringed to death after Rowling replied to an Iranian Xitter user telling her that kids in Iran find courage in Harry Potter.

Supla Stan hates Rowling because of her racism (unspecified) but also thinks Iran is an Arab nation.

New ableism unlocked: Rowling the fatphobic transphobic hater of people with AIDS and slaves also hates people with PTSD and autism.

She has already featured Persians in Harry Potter (in one of the movies, but given the creative control she had over them she's presumably the one who made up the names) in the passing: the Persian alchemist wizard Calid and his father Jasichus. Both names seem like a far cry from Islama Bombhammad.

I think whats even more cringe is seeing the TRAs in the comments who think they're hurting her by using he/him pronouns for her. Sorry TRAs but nobody who isn't as gender confused as you are would be offended by that.

pretty sure they made a joke about jk rowling.

I wish more people would call out the tired old strategy of using actual quantifiable biological intersexuals to cover for themselves when transgenderism overwhelmingly isn't based on biological tests at all and the very existence of these objective tests goes against their entire philosophy. Its like saying you can turn into a bird and fly because planes exist.

The irony of Redditors criticizing anyone for comparing world politics to children's fiction is truly hilarious.

They're retarded so they think what hurts them hurts others. This is also why they pretend like their depraved fetishes are "normal" because they truly do think everyone around them is just as equally degenerate.

The point about the inclusion of Mad Eye Moody being ableist would make more sense if he wasn’t one of the main good guys who leads the resistance against the wizard nazis and who Harry looks up to.
The real reason they never read another book is that they were too retarded to understand the one they did read.

Snape being black in the new show will probably turn more people off than any of the shit with troons simply because people either don't know about the troon shit or don't care.
Late and gay, but black Snape has come up a few times.

Muh diversity will help Rowling/Potter piss on the weird-left. It's inclusive, innit?
Okay, that's a bad reason...

Personally, I don't like race pandering. But I can get with the idea of Snape being a blacky.
Snape would have gone to UK wizard school a generation before Harry. 1960s? 1970s? It fits with the narrative of him being an outsider. A geeky but sinister looking black kid in an old fashioned boarding school.
Adult Snape can pull his scary nig screw face at Harry & classroom. That works, aesthetically.

I don't know. I don't really care. It makes much more sense than black Hermione.
Doesn't matter if Snape is cast as a 5'4" Filipino, if cast & crew can make it work.

So long as the troons seeth, I'll enjoy every scene.

We have a thread about him here.

Mr. Menno made a really good (but somewhat upsetting) video about this guy:

So long as the troons seeth, I'll enjoy every scene.

They probably never will, but personally, I'd really like it if they used the original design they came up with for Voldemort, mainly because it's quite unnecessarily fucking horrifying.

Ok, that angle could work.

Mostly I thought it would not because Snape was supposed to have come from the same country village as Harry's mother, but I suppose it would not be impossible even then for a black family to try to live somewhere like that.

I am sure it will make the Troons seethe, and everyone knows they will watch every episode, just like they all bought Hogwarts Legacy but pretended they didn't.

The design they ended up going with was pretty much how Ralph Fiennes looked as a burns victim in The English Patient. Minus his nose.

The thing is there is no racism in the Harry Potter world/universe because magical racism (hate against "muggles", exploitation of other magical creatures) replaces it as a metaphor.

I don't think Snape is going to be black any more than Hermione was actually black in Cursed Child. He is just going to be played by a black actor, which is only a big deal if you make it a big deal in your head. If you don't, it's no more relevant than changing their hair colour, height etc... It's the same character. Flitwick being played by a midget is a more bizarre departure from the book character for instance. Rowling was very surprised because she had just described him as a short man.

Well, I think the Voldemort face design was very spot on as he's supposed to have lost his features with each horcrux taking a bit of his soul.
One of the few things I really liked about the movies.

Reddit is eternally butthurt over JK. Due in large part to the fact that so many users are trannies, tranny defenders, or chasers. They genuinely believe she's gotten people killed with her "rhetoric"

There are deranged (mostly female) parents who can't wait to have (read: turn a normal child into) a trans child and regard it as social capital.
A buddy of mine from college married this freak show of a woke professor and so of course completely abandoned his own identity.

Once they had a little piglet child, she instantly began trying to trans him. Never cut his hair, gave him girls’ stuff. Fortunately, the kid wasn’t having it after a certain age.

She wanted it so bad, you could tell. I lost a lot of respect for my buddy.
