Neoreaction is a community of Autistics who see themselves as the ultimate savior of Western Civilization by writing giant text-walls of SUPREME INTELLECT and tweeting obsessively with the hashtag #NRx. They are simply a less nationalistic and more pretentious version of the Alt-Right.

We must LARP as a collective!

More boring textwalls.

and it goes on and on..

Mark Citadel: Creates socks on the Farms on his own thread. Views himself in high regard.
https://kiwifarms.net/threads/mark-citadel.31794
Hendrik Verbraeken / @open_reaction / SceneCore636: Tranny chaser in denial. Rejected by Neoreaction.

Jim Donald (Jim's Blog / Jim.com): "If you don't rape her you're beta".

Mencius Moldbug / Curtis Yarvin: Formed what is now Neoreaction, and one of only two neoreactionaries with a Wikipedia article. Placed on hiatus in 2014, and officially discontinued in 2016.

Ryan Landry / 28sherman:
Writes textwalls frequently on both his blog and on Social Matter. Hosts a podcast called "Weimerica Weekly" (It's seriously called that).

Nick B. Steves: Writes compilations of Neoreaction's textwalls for a specific week called "This Week in Reaction". As far as I'm aware, that's all he does.

Hadley Bishop: Editor-in-chief for some magazine of theirs called Social Matter.

P.T. Carlo: Editor-in chief of another prized magazine of theirs called Thermidor.

Hestia Society
(Archive):
Some kind of Neoreactionary Illuminati. They seem to do some sort of "Research" and operate a few websites.

Neoreaction.net (Archive): A website that exists solely to show outsiders how great Neoreaction is.
http://socialmatter.net
Social Matter (Archive): Easily the most popular of Neoreactionary outlets (and probably the most pretentious of them all). Operated by Hestia Society, and funded by its readers to the tune of $623/mth on their Patreon (Archive not working) as of July 6, 2017 (all of which go directly to Hestia).

Thermidor Magazine (Archive): A somewhat less pretentious version of Social Matter and arguably the most successful Social Matter clone. Operated by P.T. Carlo, and also runs a Patreon (archive not working) to the tune of $75/mth (July 6, 2017).

The Future Primaeval (Archive):
Group blog owned by Hestia Society. Rarely updated.

Jacobite Mag (Archive): Another Social Matter clone. Not to be confused with the Socialist Jacobin Magazine.

Dissident Right (Archive): The most Alt-Right leaning Neoreactionary Social Matter clone and by far the least popular.

Post-Anathema (Archive): Neoreactionary AESTHETIC which is a thing for some reason. Owned by Hestia Society.
http://reddit.com/r/nrxn
/r/nrxn (Archive): Nothing but links for NRx textwalls. The most boring subreddit ever to exist. Owned by Hestia Society.

/r/DarkEnlightenment (Archive): A more community-oriented and less ideologically-specific subreddit than /r/nrxn. Owned by Roderick Kaine (Atavisionary).

Here is a video of Moldbug doing spoken word poetry when he was younger. He looks about like how you would expect a programmer who wants to return the house of Stuart to power so the nerds can rule the rabble to look.

This community is quite interesting, I've been monitoring it for awhile. Nick Land is probably the most interesting of the lot, but mostly because he is insane rather than because he is a lolcow. Imagine a continental philosopher who got into cyberpunk and thought "this isn't dark enough, we need to add H.P. Lovecraft and make it real so that humans can be exterminated by AI gods with mechanical tentacles." That sounds hyperbolic, but it's actually what he really believes. He is so far removed from these Christian monarchy people that it's hard to figure out how they ended up in the same "movement."

The thing that makes Land fascinating is that he is obviously super bright, he is a trained philosopher who clearly understands the continental tradition. He's not some autist pretending to have read books on the internet, he really has read the books. There is something about this kind of philosophy that seems to drive people mad, Land's idol Deleuze also lost his mind and ended up killing himself.

Here's a representative post from his blog

It is only due to a predominance of influences that are not only entirely morally indifferent, but indeed — from a human perspective — indescribably cruel, that nature has been capable of constructive action. Specifically, it is solely by way of the relentless, brutal culling of populations that any complex or adaptive traits have been sieved — with torturous inefficiency — from the chaos of natural existence. All health, beauty, intelligence, and social grace has been teased from a vast butcher’s yard of unbounded carnage, requiring incalculable eons of massacre to draw forth even the subtlest of advantages. This is not only a matter of the bloody grinding mills of selection, either, but also of the innumerable mutational abominations thrown up by the madness of chance, as it pursues its directionless path to some negligible preservable trait, and then — still further — of the unavowable horrors that ‘fitness’ (or sheer survival) itself predominantly entails. We are a minuscule sample of agonized matter, comprising genetic survival monsters, fished from a cosmic ocean of vile mutants, by a pitiless killing machine of infinite appetite. (This is still, perhaps, to put an irresponsibly positive spin on the story, but it should suffice for our purposes here.)

Crucially, any attempt to escape this fatality — or, more realistically, any mere accidental and temporary reprieve from it — leads inexorably to the undoing of its work. Malthusian relaxation is the whole of mercy, and it is the greatest engine of destruction our universe is able to bring about. To the precise extent that we are spared, even for a moment, we degenerate — and this Iron Law applies to every dimension and scale of existence: phylogenetic and ontogenetic, individual, social, and institutional, genomic, cellular, organic, and cultural. There is no machinery extant, or even rigorously imaginable, that can sustain a single iota of attained value outside the forges of Hell.

An except from his older work that he wrote "before" he went insane

What can the earth do? There is only self-quantification of teleoplexy or cybernetic intensity, which is what computerized financial markets (in the end) are for. As accelerationism closes upon this circuit of teleoplexic self-evaluation, its theoretical 'position'—or situation relative to its object—becomes increasingly tangled, until it assumes the basic characteristics of a terminal identity crisis.

These are my very favorite crazies to watch, I think. It's got everything. Robots. Vampires. Some sort of secret longing for the world of Demolition Man. Little twerpy white dudes who think way, way, way too much about big black dick. Wannabe actual knights. "Geopolitics."

It's the best. I'm annoyed at the alt-right for stealing it's thunder.

Nick Land is one of my favourite contemporary thinkers, not because I agree with him or his ideas but because he truly has a unique mind and reading him, especially the pre-amphetamine breakdown stuff, really is a trip.

I think he's kind of accidentally ended up in this group because he is public enemy number 1 in certain academic circles in the UK, and because he wants to piss off those people even further. He's on a totally different level intellectually to the rest of the NRx people but they're useful allies in his crusade to rile up leftist academia. He's like Voldemort to them or something, it's pretty funny.

Yes, but he's best known for his work in the black metal scene in the early nineties. He also burned down a couple 900-year-old churches and killed a guy.

Here's his YT channel:
https://www.youtube.com/user/ThuleanPerspective

His black metal project Burzum was good, but then he decided it was tainted by blackness because metal was influenced by the blues and switched to making ambient instead. Black metal was too black for him.

I used to argue with him on Youtube comments sometimes because he appeared on arms and armour channels like Scholagladiatoria. Matt Easton wore a "fighters against racism" shirt in a video, and Varg got triggered and chimped out about white genocide, leading to him being blocked from commenting.

He really deserves a lolcow thread, but it would break the "no celebrities" rule since he's fairly infamous outside the internet.

That may have been his excuse, but I think it had a lot more to do with the fact he was in prison and didn't have access to what he'd need to keep doing black metal. He was allowed to have a synthesizer, though.

He's kept doing ambient after leaving prison, so if that was just a justification for his circumstances, he's certainly stuck to it.

I'd say his "celebrity" status is up for debate, considering he's barely known outside of black metal and/or extremely niche right-wing circles. He also has pretty much contained himself to the internet for the past few years. If Kathy Griffin can have a thread, then I don't see why Varg can't.
