i don't mind bashir going because his schtick of being "The Worldly Raghead" is only going to go so far, and he's been policing the other fish into this gay pacifist truce shit when the core of the challenge is supposed to be Plant Wars. him and vicky are the reason everyone's holed up and nobody's trying to steal or "sabo" the other plants, and they should be punished for that. bad sportsmanship.

While I like the director cam and I think it's great to have, I do miss the early days of FT where you would have to keep your eye on chat for callouts on which room to switch to when something happened, that does still happen but way less now that we have director. It was really fun and chaotic frantically switching to B3 then back to the den when things were happening, following chat callouts and making your own to lead people to the content.

I remember when the first eye-level cam went up in season 1 and everyone lost their minds at how Josie and Letty actually looked. Still feels surreal having a camera following the fish around. I don't follow it often because anyone can catch you up with what happens on director cam, but little moments are easily lost. I like to camp on a quiet cam with just a couple fish chatting, leave it on in the background, and see what comes out. And the shitass shakey handed camerawork makes me nauseous.

So with the first week nearly over, how has everyone felt about Season 5 so far and how well do you think the show is being managed by production?

Last season felt like the chaotic mess season similar to Season 2. It obviously got cut short but I believe it would have probably reached a similar problem Season 2 ran into where everyone was just burnt out from shooting their load so early.

Alot of the jangly key brain rot fans are complaining about it, but this season feels so much more like a tense cold war. Multiple players aren't tipping their hands even to the audience, there seems to be plans at play we aren't aware of yet. And things like Emma using Vicky as a useful idiot and James Drake plotting in the background feel way better for the long term. I think it will make the blow up and crazy stuff feel more like a well earned payoff
