I'm amazed IGN only listed one Call Of Duty title in the top 10, and only two in the entire list.
 
Huh. Did the list explicitly discount MMOs or are we supposed to think Skate 2 is a more important game than World of Warcraft?

I think it's console only, meaing just games on the PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii. No PC. : (

EDIT: Why is DJ Hero on that list!?

It doesn't look like this list includes any PC exclusives, but even then WoW isn't exactly "last gen". It came out during the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube era.

I think it's console games only, Holden. Still, that list. Fallout 3 is number five, New Vegas is 26. Two super mario galaxy games in the top 20. Portal doesn't even make the top 30. I wonder whether they picked it by a poll, or if it's just completely arbitrary.
 
I wonder how the define "greatest" games. I usually reserve the word to mean "influential". There's at least a few games on that list that weren't particularly enjoyable, and certainly weren't influential to anything.
 
I couldn't help but notice that, with the exception of the Mario Galaxy games and Wii Sports, no Nintendo games even cracked the top 50. I think that is some major bullshit (though, at least they weren't retarded enough to put Metroid: Other M on that list).
