Video Game Music

Doesn't get much better than the Prime Trilogy.
Prime 4 and Yamamoto shitting the bed proves that the magic is gone without true inspiration and quality in the production team... It's shocking how derivate Prime 4's OST sounds, completely devoid of a truly timeless bop to call its own. 97% of Retro's OG staff having left the company years ago.

Man, those are some great tunes. The PC-98 really gives me Genesis/Mega Drive sound vibes and that ain't a bad thing at all.
Roughly the same chip. It uses the same 6 FM synth + 3 square wave channel setup. PC-98 has a few extra quirks though, like separating the sample channel unlike the MD (you had to sacrifice a FM channel to use it with the Megadrive). And an extra percussion channel(called rhythm sometimes). Which is basically just an extra sample channel, where you can only play back some preset instruments stored on a Rom stuck to the motherboard. I found a video of Bad apple showing oscilloscope view of all the channels.
