US search and rescue operations well inside Iranian territory. Geolocated to the Khuzestan Province, southwest Iran – 30.6594 50.1232.
A location in Sorkheh Hesar (Tehran Central District) was hit by a IAF missiles last night.
Initial reports on Iranian media that Israeli/American strikes hit the Iranian Law Enforcement Command headquarters in Qom. Local residents described the explosions as sequential and intense, occurring inside the city or very close to urban areas. At approximately 02:30–02:35, at least 4 to 7 explosions were reported across the city, including areas near Azadegan Boulevard (close to Haft-e-Tir Square). Witnesses reported the sound of fighter jets overhead shortly before the blasts, followed by strong shockwaves that shook nearby buildings.
Images published by Iranian netizens, around 2:30 a.m local time shows IAF fighter jets launching flares over the skies of Tehran as surface-to-air missiles were launched at them. The Israeli pilots managed to evade the incoming air defense systems and avoid being hit.
The presence of F-35 jets and MQ-9 drones in the ongoing search operation in Iran for the downed F-15 pilot. With all the search and rescue footage I'm starting to believe Iran shot down an F-15.

Only thing I dislike about the timing is Trump maybe gearing up for Island Hopping action. Well, only being in charge of making the original 2015 Iran nuclear deal Trump despised and criticized relentlessly. And this guy's a great judge of character too: The Biden administration appointed him as Special Envoy for Iran, only to be stood down and referred to the FBI a few years later for mishandling classified information! Sounds like a real trustworthy person.

I think a ton of westerners are blind to the fact that there are real threats from other countries in the world. What do we know? That shit's happening 2.5 kabillion miles away and I have to get my mortgage paid and my kids away from troons. It makes sense: everyone has problems and if you don't live in a country where shit can go down at a moment's notice, you don't think it. "We're not Ukraine who cares I need to fix my car." "For fuck's sake I am almost paycheck to paycheck, I can't handle gas prices."
It's harder to get the public to understand that a country may appear friendly, may act overtly friendly, but is stabbing you in the shins and is building power to stab you higher at the knees. It's harder to convey we have fair weather friends with other countries: they can be our allies or our trading partners, but not always our friends. It's hard to convey that the less countries we have that are friendly towards us, the less power the other guy has, and the other guy would love to use that power.
When you live in a first world nation, you're not under threat all the time aside from your literal neighbors if you live in a high crime area. Resources are plentiful even if they're expensive. We don't have a reason to conquest things, we have friends to trade with. Everyone has land and can ask or trade for more things, why do you even need a territory or feel like someone else's property should belong to you? You have your own. It's a hard concept to wrap your brain around.

You would be surprised about internal politics of any military, especially the higher you go. It's toxic and childish the same time. But you only ever read it of big nations in wartimes in the news... because there it sounds special and important for normies.
That's exactly what will happen. Energy crisis, declining economy, climbing unemployment - but sending foreign aid is always a possibility. If Iran will get a "regime change" it will receive a few millions in fundings (even if it is hidden behind NGOs (which are government-funded)).

Praying the pilots get extracted safely. As hard as it is to finally have the No Hostile Shootdowns record broken, it's equally impressive to see how we're able to fly so low and deep into their territory.

IRIB calls upon local tribes of Kohgiluyeh-Boyer Ahmad Province to search for the American F-15 pilots, and promises a reward for those who capture them alive
Unconfirmed reports by Nour News (close to Iran’s SNSC) says the reason why an account affiliated with Iran’s IRGC posted the F-15 ejected seat was to lure in US forces. It says IRGC ground forces commandos have already found both the pilots, which also explains why US search&rescue operation has a difficult time finding the pilot(s). Nour News says it cannot independently verify this report. Other (very) unconfirmed reports have also stated the one or both pilots have been captured by the IRGC. According to Iran’s State TV, the pilots statuses are unknown. Again, this is Iranian propaganda channels, assume it's mostly or entirely false.
A U.S. C-130/MC-130J was spotted over the Persian Gulf near Kharg Island this afternoon before it headed towards mainland Iran to support the search and rescue mission for the F-15E crew.
