They do have a logic, even if it doesn’t make a lot of sense. Their thought process is “Heaven is in the sky. If you go up in the sky, eventually you get to space. So if you go to space, you see Heaven isn’t real, so God isn’t real”

I’m not saying they “get it” as Heaven is a metaphysical thing and not a physical locale, but that’s their logic

Cross dressers have always been seen as weird perverts. Giving them a different name didn't change how they acted. Unless it was a comedian (who was usually gay unless it was something like a pantomime) they were sex pests. And most the comedians were also sex pests.

The more of the world people see the more likely they are to become religious. The world is such a complex and weird place the odds of it being entirely random start to look smaller and smaller. Seeing Earth from Space is an eye opener and you realize how incredibly slim the chance of it all being luck and evolution that gives our planet life and no other ones we've found. The odds of us and only us having life make it so small that it has to have been a God doing it to make any sense of it.

I interpreted their reasoning as being something more pseudointellectual and soyience-y, like "once you see how small and inconsequential we are, just floating on a big rock in space, you realize we're not special- we weren't created by any sort of deity, we're just specks of atoms floating through the vast nothingness." I could very well be wrong, though- after all, I'm not a redditor 8)

So, it's socially acceptable to say: "We don't want your kind here!" or "Go back were you came from!" as long as we are talking about Palestine?

I wondered if it's ok to reserve the same treatment toward migrants coming to the US. Afterall, it's also "stolen land" build on a system of "genocide, oppresion or apartheid".

They never really progressed past the idea that Heaven must be a cloudy thing you can touch when you go high up enough. Better to overestimate your opponent, I suppose.
