Ok let me emphasize this in a way that makes this sound normal, so walmart seperates their toy aisle like so: if your walking from the start of the aisle to the end of it, you have 2 aisles dedicated to baby toys, then you have 2 aisles of girls toys then a aisle full of gift stuffers and legos and then 2 maybe 3 aisles of boys toys. Now the boys action figure aisle usually you'll have stuff from the most popular products there (jurassic world, tmnt, transformers he man, gi joe, etc) the back of the boys aisle is where all the toys that aren't really heavy hitters go most being of indie slop games and shows (so you'll find tadc stuff there, skibidi toilet, fnaf, bendy ink machine, you name it the most popular indie slop products will be there)

Target used to have an entire section of the electronics area dedicated to it but then that area got gradually neglected and turned into another funko pop wall. The last few years they jsut seem to jam indie stuff in a random toy aisle corner as well and even though a lot of them say like 15 or 18+ or "adult collectors only" I keeps eeing parents randomly buying em for their googoo gaagaa babies sometimes and kinda wonder like how that kid's gonna turn out when they find out the shit their parent got them before they knew what the fuck anything was was from that shit.

Gi joe mention reminded me the normal toy aisle stuff has been in it's own weird rut since like the early-mid 2010s where they've got explicitly collector focused stuff of varying degrees of quality and cheap as fuck discount brand level quality kids toys that are almost the same cost as the collector stuff so it's like "do I get this gi joe that's hyper articulated and made to look like a tiny real ass dude with a bunch of fragile parts little timmy will inhale for 30 dollars or do I get the one step transformer figure that's also 30 dollars and made of hollow brittle plastic that he's going to inhale when it turns to dust" kinda catch 22. I WOULD have used the normal transformers generations figure line that's become a collector thing quite some time ago but that keeps fucking increasing it's price so now figures are 35 minimum in some areas for the smallest ones which is not a good side by side. pre-corona it'd have been a good side by side though because they were in that kinda weird fucked up situation.

The Pomni jacket looked like a jacket first, and a cosplay second. The Jax hoodie is the polar opposite.

It doesn't really even look like a cosplay, unless you count themed/gag T shirts where they got like an outfit on them as a costume. Still yeah not the best.
