Yes, after I told them I was doing a public photography assignment for college. In hindsight I should have hit the video button on my camera when they started shouting threats across the playground fence at me.

It's so politically correct to be suspicious of a lone male taking pictures of children, gosh! It's almost like people find pedophilia repugnant! Fucking normies.

As everyone here has pointed out to you, the pictures you took of the children were done so without the consent of them or their parents - which as you should know, is in direct violation of child protection laws.

It was perfectly reasonable for the parents to get defensive. All you had to do was ask, or even better, point the camera somewhere else. You were lucky they didn't call the cops (which they should).

Congratulations, you're officially a peeping Tom.

Why did you chose a children's playground? Couldn't you have gone into a park or somewhere and approached people and asked if you could take pictures of them for an assignment? If I was a parent and I saw some dude taking pics of my kid at a playground I'd be weirded out too
From where I stand there are two possibilities: either he's really stupid and lacking in common sense, or he's a pedo. Or both.

If he really was innocent, you'd think he wouldn't have gotten so defensive about it.

@Skylar Ittner Does your Mom also hold your dick when you piss?

Of course he's a spoiled little Mama's boy. Coupled with the arrogance and disregard for social rules and mores, he's a good serial killer candidate. You're in for a fun and well adjusted life pal.

People don't need to give consent to be photographed in public, at least in my state. And I didn't have any photos with clear images of the kids. The parent who got really defensive had publicly-visible, high-quality images of her kids on her Facebook page.

@Skylar Ittner - Less than 24 hours after being created, this thread is already in the first page of results when one googles "Skylar Ittner." How does it feel? Don't you love having a unique name?

Null doesn't fuck around with SEO. His name could be Bob Smith and this might still be one one of the top results, or at least on the first few pages.

It was several pages back and I don't feel like quoting it, but I loved our new friend's claim of having all of our locations. Yeah, good luck with that.

Once again, there is a distinction between sharing pictures of your own children and some creepy weirdo you don't know taking photographs of them at a park.

What the hell made you think that was a good idea?

Oh, right. :autism:

Don't you know anything about the law? the Velociraptor defense is water tight. What are the chances that this man taking pictures of a small child without their permission is a pedophile? Very low.
What are the chances that a velociraptor might attack that same child? Very high.
Its called the balance of probability. You civilian plebs wouldn't understand.

...You Photoshopped the kid in there? I could understand if it was a photo of something else and the kid happened to be in the background, but that was complete retardation on your part.

College photography class. Two assignments involved going into public and taking pictures. Some paranoid daycare people using a public park thought I was a pedophile, and proceeded to shout at me, lock the kids up, and threaten to call the police. I didn't have anywhere to be, so I told them to go ahead. The police rolled up and sided with me. Somehow the daycare people got my dox and gave it to all the parents, who started stalking me online and sending me messages like "ur a fukken pedophele" (not joking about the spelling). So I made a meme picture implying they care more about some kid taking pictures than the daycare being attacked by velociraptors (stupid, I know). That got them even madder, so they doxxed me some more and found out via a news article about National Merit Scholars that I was attending Carroll College. They cried to the college, which bent some rules so they could charge me with a student conduct violation.

tl;dr: I was doing homework and some crazy fat ladies in a park decided to go full SJW.

why was your homework taking pictures of children? Why did you keep the pictures on your camera? Why didnt you immediately go to your teacher instead of getting into a shitfit with people on facebook?

Does it really matter at this stage?

This is the second google result:

I'm quite curious as to what the link in this response to Skylar once led to, but unfortunately the comment thread has been deleted. I tried ceddit but nothing posted by him showed up.

@Skylar Ittner - Care to enlighten us as to what that person was referring to?

Forgive me if you already answered this question, but why were you taking the photos at the playground?
