The IMPD statement and those weaponising it are so disingenuous. What they won’t say is no department in the entire US has the resources required to go after even a fraction of these people, especially where there’s an online element and no victim making the accusation directly. They would never have had this guy on their radar, along with the thousands of others they never bother looking into, even when their IP’s are flagged as creating CSAM. They don’t have the funding or manpower to do so, along with the general incompetence that can be expected from the justice system. That’s before we address if the prosecutor decides to charge or not, based on evidence or based on their mood that day.

TLDR: They won’t do their job and would arrest anyone that tried to do it for them.

It's also self-reinforcing in an unfortunate way. Every time they spoil evidence and let a child fucker walk free, it confirms to them that they're needed because "the police doesn't do anything".

Alex has convictions in 45 different states so what the fuck are you talking about.

Anyways, the reason he was so quick to snap on this particular Police department is that, like he said before and during the catch, they have a record of refusing prosecuting situations that every other state and other counties in Indiana will.

The problem with this stuff being behind a paywall is that you end up with a lot of people compelled to talk about media they haven't even watched.

Dude, I don't know anything about this case other than someone whining that the cops aren't doing enough. That's not cope. If some retard admitted, in the presence of the cops, that he molested kids and the cops didn't arrest him, then yes, the cops are the problem. If, on the other hand, the guy just dumped info on the cops and they didn't blindly do what he said, then you'd have to be mentally ill to be pissed off at them. There is something seriously wrong with people in this thread.

Let me try to simplify this for your: people lie to cops all the fucking time so if you go up to the cops and dump a bunch of information on them and expect them to do what you say, then you're a retard. Cops hate pedophiles far more than faggots on the Internet do. The only pedophiles they defend are the bourgeois ones whos' families will harm the cops if they arrest them. The cops wouldn't protect some random poor asshole pedophile especially if doing so could result in legal action against the city.

Sperging out at cops won't accomplish anything except make the criminal defense lawyer's job a lot easier.
