Just want to jot down this series of events in case it's missed in the recaps, didn't see it covered here but I didn't read everything. I think that the entire fakeout elimination of the twins was pretty obviously planned for entertainment value and suspense, but I won't make any comments on who would have won technically if the challenge was fair as it is entirely possible the twins were safe regardless and they just did this to have a dramatic ending.

• Blane was in and out of the basement a good amount before the candy count went down
• Blane offers to collect the candy for the twins and bring it down on their behalf
• Wiggers finish the first count and bring all the fish down
• Jet smugly tells Landon that if he got eliminated he thinks that Landon believes he did all he could, Jet allows Landon to *mog* him one last time while smiling
• Wiggers say the count isn't what they expected
• Bongo freaks out and asks blane if he's sure he grabbed all the bags from Jungle Room, Blane goes back upstairs to check again
• Jet tells the twins that they were in last and someone must have stolen the candy, Landon is safe
• Bongo has a tantrum and a few minutes later Blane screams from upstairs that he found the final bag of candy
• Suzie immediately calls this out as suspicious and Blane screams at her to shut the fuck up
• Ben and Jet fake (opinion) deliberate and say they will put it up to audience poll
• Ben goes to the basement and then comes upstairs after a couple of minutes saying "The site is broken for me and I can't close the poll but I'm pretty sure they voted yes on the recount"
  • Opinion: Even if the poll did work, the audience obviously would have voted yes for a recount because the twins are fan favorites, but by doing it this way they were able to be 100% sure that they could just recount no matter what and their plans don't get fucked up while trying to make it seem like it was the audience's decision
• Jet and Ben do the recount and the twins beat out landon by 26 pieces of candy, meaning that Blane's last minute discovery of a hidden final bag was the deciding factor
• Blane is emotional after all of this and decides to leave

While last night was truly kino, in the long run it was a mistake to eliminate any of them right now imo. They should have just let it be a final 4 till the end if their master plan was to pump the house full of freeloaders, even if they were good ones (which they aren't). Bringing in MORE freeloaders doesn't solve the issue either and just dilutes things even worse.

It's FISHtank not FreeloaderTank. Kick out all the freeloaders except Vimp and Laura. Bring in a male freeloader so the show isn't dominated by women who want to be the center of attention despite not actually mattering at all. Put the focus back on the players that actually matter.

They unironically need to be taken aside into the closet and have a pep talk with Ben. It's pretty likely they both have ADHD and struggle to focus in on stuff, along with getting big heads from all the early season popularity they had (Their candy challenge plan was literally just to have simps win it for them) but now they just need some water splashed in their faces to realize things have changed. Bongo seems insanely stressed and exhausted with being the breadwinner of the house and sees this as a way to escape or relieve the pressure from that which is why she's so scared of being sent home. I don't know if they've even noticed their stocks situation has crashed hard.
