Furry Fandom and Drama General

Decided to check on GreyMaria/GreyMario to see what he's been up to. Besides speaking to an artist about Patreon, not that much. But i did find something interesting.

Before deleting and removing the comment, an account that's more likely a throwaway account with letters, decided to post his dox on his profile for reasons unknown. It could be an ex anything, friend, best friend or lover. Who knows. At first, i thought the address may have been fake but GM does list his state as Oregon so it's possible this is his house.

They even used web archive to archive their comment before it was removed. I decided to archive it myself so you can choose which link to look at. Though i will say web archive does bypass Furaffinity's "You must join to see this profile" message, because you can't see GM's profile without having an account. So the user was pretty smart about that.

Googling the address they listed gives me this.

I would dive deep into this but i can't seem to figure out how most of these type of sites work in terms of searching for people who live at an address. Most of them require you to pay. But it was interesting to see his dox before he purged the comments.

Some guy who bitches and moans about Patreon. He hates artists who use it as a paywall so that him and a few others can't see any of the other art if it's exclusive to Patreon. He tends to make journals about his thoughts on Patreon and blocks people that don't agree with him, i assume.

I've come back to this thread with sad news. Vivisector, aka "The Kiwi Farms of the Furry Fandom", is rumored to be dead.

The website went down around the end of last month and has remained down for the past two weeks. According to some of the responses Flayrah got for their article, the head admin just up and left and didn't provide a backup for anyone to carry on the website's legacy.

Vivisector was also important because it was the archive of Crush Yiff Destroy, a popular furry criticism website.

Closely related, this guy has almost 5000 submissions on Furaffinity of characters in scuba suits and every single one of them has a description EXACTLY like this:

My new [animal] character. His name is [name.] He's a scuba diver. He's my new character to live in [state/country.] He lives in [city.]

Paging @Male for a picture of him in a scuba outfit.

Damn, once again we lose an "important" piece of internet bullshit. This is the problem with online content, it can and will disappear without warning.

Archive.org seems to have stored plenty of the stuff, so it's not a total loss.
