To me, it sounds more like a typical joke "haha there's no way I'll ever have a girlfriend :(" which the journo is over-interpreting in the classic "I don't get it, is this political?!" manner.

Hi, it's me again! Still not sure if this is the best place to share. Started playing Tiny Bookshop today because it joined Gamepass and it is absolutely drenched in wokery. Second character you meet is a he/they black softboi. Several of the books you sell are about trans characters, fat bodies, race, etc. Given a big part of the game is reading the novel summaries and suggesting books...

I had to at one point suggest a book about quote, crossdressing pirates, endquote, to an underage character, which she then bought. Just feels creepy man.
 
Pokopia - I'd say Mild. It has the typical lack of pronoun shit when you make your character. And just about all Pokémon, even ones with gendered characteristics like Pikachu or are exclusively one gender like Tinkaton are referred to with they/them pronouns. Aside from this, there's nothing of note.
 
So your argument is that blatantly gendered characters being referred to as they/them, which Pokémon has never done before, is only Mild?

If any of the they/thems is a major character, it falls under the "dialogue heavily informed with wokeness" clause, which is Heavy.

Doesn't Pokemon have some mons that are genderless? Only like, the robots and the magnet I can think of... but I think there's at least some?

It's less "look, progress" and more "look, no genitals" but if it's those specifically. But I wouldn't trust Nintendo of America not to shove wokeshit into impressionable young kids' brains, not after they let a Female take charge.

To be fair, there are a lot of agender pokemon in the game since they introduced genders (ignoring the Nidoran lines). It could be charitably seen as the devs simply leaning into that.
But the Tinkatink line is female. 100% female. So yeah, that's pretty woke and lame of the devs to make it a They/them rather than gendering all of the pokemon correctly according to established canon from other games.

Well, could it just be a fuckup? The flag bearing retards were cheering on some male-only psychic evolution of that porn pokemon as being trans, in an obvious attempt to set the narrative and put pressure on Nintendo not to change it. Could they just have fucked a lot of shit up, or is it obviously wokeshit?
